...on tap, at Antwerp. Visually, a nice head of white foam topping a perfectly limpid and still brass hue. Slighly sour-smelling, fresh, otherwise..not so much, really. Balanced with slight bitterness, short, thirst-quenching and generally satisfying. Here’s a typical example of an objectively low-descriptional beer offering great drinkability and super-quaffing (I know because...) So how to rate this town-brew from the great port of Antwerp? Not a ’grand’ beer, but hedonistically it’s high!

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2005 Chalky body with subdued biscuity malt flavors and dull spicy hop accents. Serves as a passable crossover brew, but little else.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2009 Bottled. Hoppy aroma. Copper color, off-white head, very nice lace. Light sweet, pretty hoppy, light herbal, light fruity. Reminded me of an english style ale. Didn’t have this one for ages. Didn’t like it before but now I had it again I can really appreciate it.

Amber witha lacey head. Sharp and yeasty, with a slight fruitiness in the aroma, a bit on the watery side. NEXT PLEASE!

Dark amber appearance with a yeasty, alcoholic aroma. Watery with a yeasty flavor and a very faint taste. What did it taste like? Flavors were too watered down to decipher anything specific. Seems like it was brewed in the same hasty fashion that some people dip a tea bag in hot water and immediately withdraw it rather than leaving the tea bag in, allowing the flavors to dissolve and take hold.
