250ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a nice clear copper color forming a medium bubbled and aired light yellow head. Low retention and only few spotty lacings left in the glass S: Strong caramel and the traditional Belgian bready yeast aroma. Sweet and fruity in the nose. Caramel and crystal malts. A bit metallic and a bit spicy too T: Slightly sweet upfront becoming quickly softly bitter. Strong notes of Belgian yeasts, very bready taste. Notes of toffee, caramel malts, roasted malts, crystal malts. Metallic notes and some spiciness. Mild hops bitterness in the end M: Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Caramelish/metallic aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Nice brew. Traditional Belgian Ale [ BA Review @ 8/17/2013 ]

330 ml. bottle. Pours reddish brown with a decent beige head. Mild aroma of malt, caramel, and grass. Taste is malt, grass, caramel, and some yeast. Nothing bad here, but not much good either.

Is this the best you can do, Antwerpen? It looks quite nice, with its dark amber appearance. It falls flat everywhere else, though. Hoppy and a bit bitter, which doesn’t go well with the fact that there is no other taste to this beer.

Diacetil aroma, with grainy sweets. Sweet body. No hops. Boring finish. Tasted at Rootz in Den Haage. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kaatuu tulppaaniin kuparinoranssina ja kirkkaana, noin kahden sormen paksuisella pumpulisella ja vahvaa pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Tuoksu on melko mieto.

33cl bottle from Alko. Amber colored, thin white head. Caramel in aroma, sweetness, belgian yeast. Flavor has caramel, ripe apples, yeasty notes, toffee. Easy and simple. Light.

Amber beer with a beige head. Sweet bread and soap on the nose. Toffee, caramel, cooked vegetables. Light body. Average carbonation. Only a hint of bitterness. Not that pleasant yet not the worst either.

Had on tap while in Antwerp. Pours amber colored with a fluffy white head. Aroma is light bready malts, faint yeast, and a bit of grass. Flavor follows with bready malt and crisp grassy finish, bit of caramel, with very little of that Belgian yeast flare, and extremely low on the sweetness. Light plus body with medium plus carbonation. Seems like quality of a Sam Adams for Belgium. Not bad, but not sure why one would choose this when there are so many other options.

Bronze-gold, clear colour, with creamy off-white head that disippated very quickly. Faint, floral hops aroma. Weak but balanced body.
