Sampled from a friend’s bottle at the Brickskeller in DC. Somewhat standard Belgian ale. Amber in color with a white head. Pretty good aroma of bready malt, yeast, and some dark fruit. Flavor is bready, somewhat grainy malt with a little caramel, yeast, and raisin. Palate medium. Not too exciting overall.

At Bier Central during the guys trip to Antwerp. Pours a nice Medium golden yellow color. Minimal fizzy white head, lasted maybe a minute or two. Aromas of light spices, a touch of brown sugar.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2005 Decent sized head upon initial pour. Light yeasty, citrus aroma. Low carbonation and acidic flavors make this taste more like a light lager than a good belgian.

Bottle dated 6-16-04. Poured a small ivory head with a fair amount of lacing, transparent, cabonated and an orange hue. Malty, sweet, some caramel notes, and fruity, Flavor was sweet, malty, watery, smooth, and some fruityness. Smooth, watery, thin mouthfeel. An easy drinking beer IMO.

strange but good at first plummet...it tastes belgium proud...on tap it was killer compared to the bottle..grape yeast smell...fruiter and smoother than bottle. not a bad brew. had in bottle from vomar and on tap in CPT at the forum and in a 400yr old bar in amsterdam with some croqetts..stoempy de kat.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2011 I always think that I like this one more than I actually do when I taste it again. At least it is a fairly inexpensive Belgian draft at Sharp Edge but there it does not have that much else going for it. +++ Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer pours a neutral brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. The aroma is a mix of sweet and fruity and yeasty. The flavor is mild, with a dry sourness, a hint of nut and a yeasty almost bready taste. Hard to really get a handle on just what the flavor is. Pretty mild for a Belgian. The draft is about the same - maybe a bit smoother.

Orange colour, small white head. Aroma: fresh, citrus. Fruity flavours; citrus. Nice balanced beer, but not special.
