Not your typical Begian Ale as it is a bit subdued in flavor, but nonetheless an enjoyable beer. A nice thirst quencher.

On tap. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch and malt, copper, with a small tan head. Flavour is malt, with melted brown sugar, woody notes as well. Well balanced, pleasantly sweet, good bitterness toward the finish. Very nice!

This beer is spectacular on draught from the brewery tap in Antwerp, and very good in bottle. My only problem is that it comes in such small bottles (330ml), I prefer to do my drinking by the (english)pint.

The bottle looks a bit simple, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts dry and fruity, notes of apricot. Finish modest scratchy and prickly. Nice!

This beer was ok, fairly standard for a Belgian pale ale style. Nice and easy drinking, but nothing to make me feel like I needed another one. I quickly moved on to a duvel that I saw on the menu, you should too.

To be honest, I really drank this one colder than it should have been. Aroma was sulphurous. Medium brown beer, not much head, interesting label. Mild ester, medium-lightly bittered. Not very sweet. Light spice. Finishes quickly, leaving a mild banana shadow.

A beer with some contradictions. Creamy looking pale ale color--it could have passed for a lookalike of an English cream bitter. Yet, a lager-like aroma and a distinctive, more Belgian flavor with some spiciness. Good body. Not brilliant, but interesting. (on tap, Belgo, Kingsway, London)

Tap in Amsterdam. Very good session beer, amber colored with little head. Some sweetness. A little simple, but easy to order in bunches.
