Bottle at Cafe Ernesto in Leuven. Reddish dark amber body. Fruity sweet malty nose, maybe chalky. Emptyish sweetish light fruity taste, chalky in the finish. Not special but ok, especially when it’s cheaper than the others and the others are crap pale lagers.

Pours bright orange/amber into a tulip. Fluffy off-white head pancakes and laces as it slowly recedes. Candi sugar aromas. Slightly sour upfront with a lasting dry bitter metallic finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PilsnerPeter (2958) - Flushing, New York, USA - OCT 23, 2006
Pours a clear deep golden. The aroma suggests apple notes, a bit tart. The flavor is tart as well, an upfront fruity note of apples and pears. There’s a later toffeeish hint and a light dry finish. Not bad, kind of simple.

Bottle. Poured a rusty amber with a white head. Diminished almost completely. Nose of cotton candy....seriously. Also malt and spice. Flavor was strange as well. Picked up hints of oak, cedarand metal. Worth trying.
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SSSteve (2922) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 19, 2006
caramel and dark fruit aroma. a cloudy red beer with lots of huge chunks of yeast floating around. no head. flavor is very mild with some fruit notes and the same burnt caramel in flavor but pretty much tasteless. slightly watery and a really gross looking beer. way too many chunks floating about just like the cuvee, which i hated. it may have been slightly drinkable if i never saw what it looked like. then you towards the end of the beer all you drink is chunks, like pulpy orange juice......gross. quickly becoming my least favorite brewery
