Dark amber, caramel head, dark robust flavour. Good balance of malt and hops, mute creamy palate. Slightly fruity. Has tht stewed pear and apple flavour that the triple has but more subtle.

Pours a cloudy brownish amber in color with a rocky inch-thick off-white head that lasts. Aroma of yeasty bread, fruit (raisins) caramel. Sweet, slightly earthy malt flavor with an interesting dry finish. I don’t know why, but I’m reminded of Boston Baked Beans candy for some reason. Sweet, yet ... not. Oh, well. Very enjoyable at any rate.

On tap at Pub Italia. Hazy pale amber with a thin layer of off-white foam. Fruity, yeasty, light caramel aroma. Fruity and yeasty flavours with a dry bitter finish. Medium bodied, a bit flat and lifeless.

Pours a cloudy light brown with a small head. Aroma reminds me a lot of Corsendonk’s Brown Ale. Flowery, dark raisins, a little caramel and yeast. Overall flavour is mostly like aroma. As this warmed I felt like I was drinking sugar water. There was practically nothing there in the end.

Tap at Grand Cafe, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (Schengen). Chestnut, thin white head. Lively malty, refreshing and cool. Mouth is slightly brackish biscuit, malt, some fruitiness. Refreshing with a lasting maltiness in the finish. Quite good.

Bottle. Amber with very small head. Fruity, soft, little citrus, low carbonation. Uninteresting.

12 oz. bottle yields a deep coppery pour, medium light tan head that receded quickly. Roasty malt aroma with a bit of estery fruit character. Medium mouthfeel, bubbly carbonation. Burnt caramel, some rasin/plum lead to a slightly metallic, bitter finish. Undistinguished and almost one dimensional, I was not impressed.

had this on draft at a mediteranan joint in antwerp...asked where we could get it with the yeast on the side..nobody knew what the hell i was talking about. for some reason i expected alot more from this beer but got an unexciting drab beer. copper color with a nitro head. mostly slight malty character with some metallic backbone and a sulphur smile. move on mates and drink something else, especially if your in beligum.

When there is no "palm" served at the bar, mostly they offer this one in stead. The taste is similar but i still prefer Palm.
