2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 25, 2006
Dark straw golden colour with little to no head. Apples dominate the nose with light spice and yeast. The body does little to entice or impress, just a light bitterness at the end and little else happening to speak of.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 joeycapps (1467) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 7, 2005
Slightly hazy amber w/ large, creamy pale tan head. Sweet, mildly peppery/spicy aroma w/ fruity/citrus & light metallic notes. Light, highly carbonated feel. Flavour is malty, yeasty, spicy, & well-balanced but surprisingly bland for a Belgian Ale.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jokes (1453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2003
A marginal beer that did little for me. Poured a nice amber color with a three-bubbled head. Nothing there. The aroma was actually kind of pleasant sweet apples, caramel and light summer fruits. The flavor is quite hoppy, but ultimately a bit drab to me. I mean the flavor wasn't terrible, but it just didn't do it for me. To each their own...

Slight fruity textures with a hint of malt and spice. There are some things work in its favor, but the watered down texture holds it back.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Stew41 (1412) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - MAY 14, 2006
Hard to believe I’m rating the same beer given the 61% percentile. Rocky head dies down very quickly. Darkish amber in colour, very clear. Nose is malt driven and fits the commercial descriptor well - a text book example perhaps. Palate is a let down, just a bland mixture of bubbles and faint malts. Hints of the Belgian Ale surface early but disappear quickly. Needs to delivery more obvious malt flavour.

(On tap at [Brothers Hood] in Lundeborg).
Drank several glasses caused by the human percentage. Yeasty and fresh fruity taste and a final with a wish for more samples.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a cloudy amber with a small frothy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a sweet malt with raisin. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet fruit and caramel. Easy to drink, a good belgian.
