3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (7126) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 15, 2006
Filtered? Mine had sediment. Color is hazy amber. Aroma is a bit acid. Perhaps a bit thin. Tart and a bitterness that lasts to the finish. Refreshing. I don’t, yes, I do, find a bit of sweetness, but it didn’t appear immediately. The fruit develops after several sips. I could drink this frequently.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2005
a sim rate: (on tap) It’s got a very metallicy taste... almost overwhelmingly so. Very aley style with a smell that reminds me of rust. Smooth with a bitter finish. I used to really enjoy this beer, but now it seems it has nothing distinguishing really, it’s just beery.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bov (7098) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 22, 2002
clear amber colour, no head, floral aroma, malty, tart, too much carbonation, bitter and dry - aggressive and forgettable
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7062) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2005
The ubiquitous "bolleke" of Antwerp. Respectable, but unexciting. In fact, over a few days in Antwerp, I began to find it a bit boring. And I couldn’t help getting reminded of those creamy British keg bitters of the seventies and, more recently, nitrokeg smooth "bitters". Draught, Antwerp, September 2003.

Bottle: Amber coloured, thin but lasting off-white head; malty and a bit fruity nose (cinnamon ?), light mild malty taste, slightly dry, mild malty finish with a little hoppiness. A very soft, well rounded brew.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear dark amber with a moderate frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex tart citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus finish of moderate duration. Intereting brew.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (6830) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 2, 2005
Amber colour, white head. Spicy, yeasty nose with clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg characters. Flavour is well-balanced, softly carbonated, light brown sugar, and a nice peachy fruitiness. Light bitterness. Well made.

Lightly copper colored. Very smooth and mellow with a lot of complexity. An interesting and enjoyable brew.
