Filtered? Mine had sediment. Color is hazy amber. Aroma is a bit acid. Perhaps a bit thin. Tart and a bitterness that lasts to the finish. Refreshing. I don’t, yes, I do, find a bit of sweetness, but it didn’t appear immediately. The fruit develops after several sips. I could drink this frequently.

a sim rate: (on tap) It’s got a very metallicy taste... almost overwhelmingly so. Very aley style with a smell that reminds me of rust. Smooth with a bitter finish. I used to really enjoy this beer, but now it seems it has nothing distinguishing really, it’s just beery.

clear amber colour, no head, floral aroma, malty, tart, too much carbonation, bitter and dry - aggressive and forgettable

The ubiquitous "bolleke" of Antwerp. Respectable, but unexciting. In fact, over a few days in Antwerp, I began to find it a bit boring. And I couldn’t help getting reminded of those creamy British keg bitters of the seventies and, more recently, nitrokeg smooth "bitters". Draught, Antwerp, September 2003.

Bottle: Amber coloured, thin but lasting off-white head; malty and a bit fruity nose (cinnamon ?), light mild malty taste, slightly dry, mild malty finish with a little hoppiness. A very soft, well rounded brew.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear dark amber with a moderate frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex tart citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus finish of moderate duration. Intereting brew.

Amber colour, white head. Spicy, yeasty nose with clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg characters. Flavour is well-balanced, softly carbonated, light brown sugar, and a nice peachy fruitiness. Light bitterness. Well made.

Lightly copper colored. Very smooth and mellow with a lot of complexity. An interesting and enjoyable brew.
