Nice amber Belgian ale, pleasant snowy creamy head. Fresh spiced aroma , some hopp feel and malts . Full to medium bodied , creamy but it good way . Refreshing, thirst quenching. Rather simple but that strength in such beer. Best to have after long day of hard work.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2010 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, grain/husks), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of sulfur, black tea, metal. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. Flimsy, dull, metallic, and husky. Very industrial in character. Drain pour.

Very mild and smooth. It is definatley drinkable and classic but I would never buy a whole case of this.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2009 Bottled. Hoppy aroma. Copper color, off-white head, very nice lace. Light sweet, pretty hoppy, light herbal, light fruity. Reminded me of an english style ale. Didn’t have this one for ages. Didn’t like it before but now I had it again I can really appreciate it.

Darker amber color with a smaller rocky beige head. Sweet fruit and caramel sromas with a hint of tomato. Aroma comes out a bit better as it warms. Light malt sweetness with some cola and tomato marmalade undertones. Finish has a touch of earthy peat. This one did little for me, until I was distracted and it warmed near room temperatue.

Bottle via JoeM, thanks: Reddish amber hue with nice frothy off-white head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, ripened apples and pears, orange zest, aromatic and grassy hops, light caramel, and zest yeast esters. The taste starts with a bittersweet note, some malt and a acidic fruit content. Zesty and bitter finish with a dose of pepper. The feel is lively but a bit thin. Refreshing for a Belgian Ale, a session style brew. A like this more than average ratebeerian I guess.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2005 Tap. Apple vinegar aroma - light yeast and must tones. Cloudy light brown with small head. Very ciderlike inititally with a sweet and sour light malt and bitter finish. Body was a bit weak. Interesting - a bit like a weak Gueuze. Bottle version was much less acidic and lighter as well as being a darker brown.
