I'm surprised that the score is low for this beer. I am honestly not much of an amber fan, but this is a delicious beer. Great aroma of cherry with a smooth, sweet taste hinting at cherry and plum. Very different from US brewed Ambers.

3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours reddish with some active carbonation and then head dissipates to near nil.
Very little lacing. Taste cherry and malt, sweet overtones, but well balanced. Had a bottle of Grand Cru Rodenbach prior to tasting this, so anything would probably taste somewhat sweet after that sour experience on the palate. This is a very delightful drinkable beer.

Amberkleurig, amper schuim. Veel koolzuur. Ruikt lekker, zacht hoppig. Smaakt erg goed, behoorlijk zuur en een beetje bitter.

From tap. Nice red with solid finger of head. Aroma is makes, with a hint of berry tartness. Taste is slightly toasted malts, mild cherry and farmhouse funk. Super drinkable. Pair it with some frittes and you have a night. Not worth seeking out.

Fantastic Belgian ale! This is the second cousin to English ales and German Altbier. Wonderful color and aroma, indeed, very Belgian. Easy drinking and full-flavored at the same time. American micros have yet to produce a beer like this! Keep the viscosity down and let the yeast expess itself.

Shared a 25cl bottle from Cora (Lucembourg). Pours an almost clear amber color with a medium white creamy head. Aroma is malty, caramel and lightly floral. Medium carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is dry medium sweet, light to medium bitter with a dry finish. Overall, drinkable but not remarkable.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours amber with a very quickly disappearing head. Malts, malts, brown sugar. Easy to drink, no notes to put you off, but flat and uninteresting. Not too far from a regular pilsener.
