nice amber color, dry and bitter, finishes off like a bohemian pilsner. Great for drinking in massive quantities.

On tap at Pub Italia. Hazy pale amber with a thin layer of off-white foam. Fruity, yeasty, light caramel aroma. Fruity and yeasty flavours with a dry bitter finish. Medium bodied, a bit flat and lifeless.

Medium amber color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is orange, malty and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. Malts are fruity, slightly nutty and sweet. Touches of orange and clove. Slightly spicy. Light and refreshing. Lively carbonation. Nicely balanced. Very smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2003 Pours clear dark amber with small off-white head. Good lacing though. Slightly sweet spicy hop aroma with a hint of dark fruits there. Lovely smooth medium mouthfeel. Initial sweet malt taste with a mild bitter middle and dry bitter finish. Aftertaste is bitter yet sweet, almost slightly tangy, with a hint of spice too. Quite tasty. Not as complex as other belgians but very quaffable! Rerate: More plum and rasins in aroma this time. Palate wasnt as full this time either. Finish quite thin. Lost a point on palate, gained one on aroma.

Bottle via JoeM, thanks: Reddish amber hue with nice frothy off-white head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, ripened apples and pears, orange zest, aromatic and grassy hops, light caramel, and zest yeast esters. The taste starts with a bittersweet note, some malt and a acidic fruit content. Zesty and bitter finish with a dose of pepper. The feel is lively but a bit thin. Refreshing for a Belgian Ale, a session style brew. A like this more than average ratebeerian I guess.

Amber color with a large thick white head. You can smell the aroma of hops
and malt very clearly along bread and oak. Very hoppy, fruity flavor but is not sweet. Very dry.
