De Koninck has a very special flavor. It is a bid a cherry/Madeira flavor wich is specific for the brewery. The beer has a beautiful amber color wich comes out very nice in the glass. The only disadvantage is that the beer not allways has the same quality.

Pours a medium amber with a large, fluffy off white head. The nose is sweet malt. Hints of bread and earthy grain. Light and easy to drink. Sweetness not as prevalent on the palate as in the nose. Finishes with just a hint of bitterness.

Dark amber colour, rather small head, malty aroma. Palate is herby yet a smouth taste with a light bitter finish. Easy drinkable beer.

On tap at Kafie Belgie, Utrecht. Amber color with a frothy antique white head. Slightly fruit aroma, Slighly sweet flavor, a bit of grassyness. Thin body. A great seeions beer, and much better out of the tap then out of the bottle.

Right off the top, I assumed that De wouldve been the choice of drunkards and chuggers. Dead on. Too bad that they are wasting a chug on such a good beer. nice amberish colour and beautifully thick head filled up my glass. Mild hops and malts and a unassuming flowery scent. Seemed flat, but wasnt(???) 5 minuites tops and I need another - Damn easy to drink!

Pours amber with a very small white head. Aroma is light and fruity with your typical yeasty smell of Belgian strain yeast. Although, this is strange because the beer appears filtered. Taste is crisp yet fruity like a typical Belgian ale. A weird beer, its almost as if this is a blend of a hoppy amber with the yeast of a fruity golden belgian ale. A very interesting beer that I’m still trying to decide if I like or not. I will rate by my gut and see what happens.
