3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chicagobears (376) - Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2006
Looks like a good Belgian ale in apperance. A bright orange-brown color swirling white head. Has a sweet malty taste, mlid fruit, and a decent hop bite. I can’t help but think belgium ale "light" when drinking this. It is uncommonly weak and watery for a Belgium ale. It is however quite welcomed after sampling a few heavier Belgium ales this evening. Rodenbach Grand Cru and Corsendonk pale in case you’re interested to know.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2006
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 June) Colour is amber, with a foamy, lasting head. Nose is spicy, slightly fruity and yeasty. Taste is malty and spicy, with hints of yeast and caramel. A bit drier than expected and with a slightly metallic bitterness in the finish. Soft mouthfeel. An ok and reliable beer, but not really exciting. Go for the draught version rather than the bottled if possible.

Tap at Ginger Man Houston. Malty aroma. Flavor is a very creamy, almost milky malt. I enjoyed it.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 reakt (946) - Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 Draft from Lowlander? Pale amber colour with a small white head. Light body, BIG intentions. Nose of brown sugar. Molasses, maple syrup and orange in the taste. Very clean, sweet finish. Washes down oh so well. I wasn’t this impressed from the bottle - perhaps draft is the way to go?
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Stefano (1676) - Esbjerg, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2008
Pours a clear deep golden. Fruity, yeasty, light caramel aroma. Taste is caramel malts, yeast spices, pretty simple and drinkable beer overall.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 brewgirlca (57) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 17, 2006
Bottle. Poured a deep off white head that stayed for quite some time. Pretty peachy-red color and clear. Deep earthy tones and some ripe fruit - a bit overmuch for style. Spicy Halertaeur background hops. Flavour is of light toast, fairly rich but could be softer. Bitterness perhaps just a tad too high but the perception of dryness could also be from the phenols, which although pleasent in their flavour are off a bit in their dryness. Pleasent low hop flavour of earthy Euro hops, would have prefered more floral or grassy. As has been stated elsewhere this is a good palate cleanser when on a Belgian binge but I would not really call it session beer due to a number of minor flaws which all add up to a less than pefect drinking experience.

Bottle; had this one way back during my family xmas beer tating. Pours a brownish copper color with a smallish off white head. Aroma of fruit, bready malt, yeast, honey and grain. Flavor was solid, but nothing really distinctual. Grainy and bready, with fruity, yeast, gape and something akin to dry hopping for me. Ok.
