On tap @ In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours a beautiful clear dark amber color. Minor beige head. Aroma is mainly caramel and sweet malts. Nice toffee flavour with hops and some pleasant mild fruits. Very well balanced and easy to drink. I really love this beer. It’s so significant and clean and down to earth. Less is more!

This is pretty nice I guess. Not real heavy but doesn’t taste thin, a little caramel flavoring. Not complex or spicy but decent enough.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2007 Wow. Had on tap in its proper glass. Wonderful smokey cinnamon appearance with a head that looked like it had been dusted with cocoa. Great spicey flavor with a dry finish. Excellent.

Served as a hazy, deep-copper under a thin white film and thick white ring. Light apple in aroma with licorice, cherry, pink bubblegum, white wine and light funk. Flavor is multi-layered with fruits and caramel, ending with dry bitters. Smooth yet dry. Left a very vinous impression. Complex and delicious.

Pours a nearly opaque light chocolate brown with a thick, fine-bubbled ecru head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and subtly chocolaty. Mouth-filling malty flavor has hints of molasses, chocolate, nuts, hops and spice. Texture is smooth, fizzy, and quite pleasing.

At it’s best on tap in Antwerp. But it’s good out of the bottle too. A fruity and malty brew.
