Bottle dated 6-16-04. Poured a small ivory head with a fair amount of lacing, transparent, cabonated and an orange hue. Malty, sweet, some caramel notes, and fruity, Flavor was sweet, malty, watery, smooth, and some fruityness. Smooth, watery, thin mouthfeel. An easy drinking beer IMO.

33 ml bottle, from BevMo LaJolla. Pours a beautiful rosy-amber color with a small beige head. Aroma is dusty-toasty malts, with a dry yeastiness and herbal notes. Flavor is dry and bitter-sweet with floral hops and a slight spicy yeast. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation. This would be a good one with food, not bad as a European session ale as well.

Pours a cloudy brownish amber in color with a rocky inch-thick off-white head that lasts. Aroma of yeasty bread, fruit (raisins) caramel. Sweet, slightly earthy malt flavor with an interesting dry finish. I don’t know why, but I’m reminded of Boston Baked Beans candy for some reason. Sweet, yet ... not. Oh, well. Very enjoyable at any rate.

Deep amber colour, minuscule head and some unexpected sediment. The nose is quite enticing with its full-on jammy raspberry profile. Curiously, very little of this raspberry expresses itself in the flavour. Rather than fruity, the flavour is bitter and woody; if anything it’s raspberry seeds, not raspberry fruit. Regardless, the flavour is still quite pleasing and the juxtaposition between aroma and flavour makes for an interesting experience.

Draught. Real Belgian Ale as it should be. Ambercoloured, full-bodied, with a nice hop-bitterness. Very clean beer as well, no hang-over after enjoying too many "Bollekes" one night.

Aroma: some metallic, barnyard, vinegar and malty/caramely aromas. Apperance: clear brown/red with a tan head that quickly vanished. Flavour: metallic, cidery/vinegary with some sweet malt. Complex for what it is.
