Has the ’Belgian’ taste for sure, but not as full in body as the abbey types.

A classic everyday Ale, best sampled in the cobblestoned plazas of Antwerp, its home. For a 5%er, De Koninck has varied flavors and surprising depth. Any town would be proud to have this as its local beer...

Pours amber. Nose and taste is very smooth and full. Lots of spices, caramels and butterscotch. Rated 8/17/2000

I have been drinking this beer all my live. This is much better on tap than in bottle. This is a special Belge, a kind of amber (Belgian Pale Ale), but from high fermentation. It’s very smouth drinking, midium body, easy to drink and very refreshing. There is a touch of bitter/sourness to it, witch is very nice when you drink this in a warm climate

2009 Bottle - Thanks beerbill! - Pours a transparent orange with a medium, lasting off white head...aroma is floral fruity malt, peaches with a bit of dry grain...flavour is pleasantly sweet, with a slightly bitter finish...fair amount of carbonation in this one, this could easily be my daily drinker...very tasty...

A smooth, easy to drink amber. It is subtle on all fronts, but also elegant and delicious.
