07-01-04 drank on 04-28-04: Clear amber with a small bubbled small white head. Grass, light fruits and yeast in the aroma. Medium to full bodied, starts a bit sweet and ends sweeter than that. Yeast taste stays around for a while at the end.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2005 Chalky body with subdued biscuity malt flavors and dull spicy hop accents. Serves as a passable crossover brew, but little else.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2008 Bottle, a fathers day gift from numba won Son: Hazy peach-amber color with a small fading eggshell white head. Aroma is candi sweet with over-ripe fruit. Flavor starts sweet and fruity (apricot) followed by light caramel and a lightly dry finish with just a hint of bitterness. Medium body is sticky with moderate carbonation.

Darker amber color with a smaller rocky beige head. Sweet fruit and caramel sromas with a hint of tomato. Aroma comes out a bit better as it warms. Light malt sweetness with some cola and tomato marmalade undertones. Finish has a touch of earthy peat. This one did little for me, until I was distracted and it warmed near room temperatue.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 YogiBeera (2436) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JAN 3, 2003
Sweet malt nose, corn and malt taste. Amber, little head layer. Liveley carbonation. Ok beer.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PorterPounder (3944) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2005
Grapevine Market, Austin Tx., 11.2 fl oz. Pours a dark copper with a silky smooth white head and decent lacing. Aroma is non distinct, slightly peppery. Flavor has some bitter notes, reminds me more of an Alt than a Belgian. Flavor is slighlty nutty with some fresh lake water notes and not much else. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but goes well with the bitterness. Good for session material.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blank (997) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 24, 2005
A desent little belgain but fairly unremarkable. A decent nose and a nice orange/brown color, but not particularly sweet or flavorable. A good beer, but doesn’t standout as much as most belgains i’m used to.
