Frothy head over a deep amber body, this baby carries a doughy aroma with a quickly fading hint of spiciness. A bit of a caramel flavoring, smooth on the malt. Disinteresting mouthfeel with a mildly hopped finish. I’ll accept a freebee on my next one of these.

Low head sits atop a dark golden body. Very clear and the head thins out considerably. Carbonation continues to rise but not much evidence of beading. Malty nose but with a tartness that reminds me of the sharpness of some continental lagers. Sour notes above that. Sharp burning palate. Flavour is light and unremarkable. It’s good but not to become a staple.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2010 there is caramel in the nose, and i can also taste it, which is a pleseant suprise... nice light beer, far faster drinkable than it’s color suggests... nice 5%er

Bottled. Reddish amber colour with small beigeish head. Aroma of plum, spices and sweet malts. Flavour is strong hoppy with grassy hints. Grassiness goes hay in finish. Also barley comes in quite strong in the form of breadish hints. Pleasant, but a bit too hoppy for my taste.

On tap. Dark golden, clear ale with a small, dense beige head. Fruity, sweet aroma with some hints of banana. Weak, fruity and malty aroma. Medium body and a nice bitterness in the finish. Nice aroma, disappointing flavor. (060715)

Marsiblursi (2675) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2008 (Bottle) Pours copper-ish amber with a fast decreasing off-white head. The aroma is of doughy bread-ish yeast and light caramelly, toasted bread like malt with lesser notes of floral/grassy/vegetal hops and peach/orange/mild banana fruity hints. Undertones of perfume and mild spices. The flavour is of toasty/bread like malt, light doughy yeast and grassy/floral bitter hops. The mouthfeel is clean and a bit dead. Light dry finish. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. Light to medium bodied.

not a bad belgian ale. On tap at brug beertje, ordered it for the wifey on account of it’s smooth unoffensive qualities.
