3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChainGangGuy (3682) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JUN 22, 2010
16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Buford, Georgia.
Appearance: Served up a clouded, amber-brown body with a thin, wispy, near white head.
Smell: Aroma of generously toasted bread and caramel sauce with a light, spicy-scented yeastiness and background fruitiness.
Taste: Opens with a maltiness tasting of caramel-dunked cinnamon bread. It’s sweet, but not particularly so. Light tangy fruitiness with tastes of apricots, apples, and bananas. Faint bitterness. Late-arriving pop of brown sugar. Body thins out as you near the end. Drying, lightly fruity, lightly spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation with a bit of sharpness to it.
Drinkability: A little light when it comes to flavor and complexities, but, considering it’s just a mere 5% ABV, it ain’t half bad.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ethereal (2355) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2008
On tap at the White Horse, 25th August 2008. One of the first Belgian beers I ever tried, back at Lowlander three or more years ago. I only just realised I never rated it. Rich amber with a firm cream coloured head. Smooth and well balanced for a 5% beer. It’s simple but well executed. Sorts you out nicely.

I first tried this beer while visiting my folks in Antwerp and feel in love with it. Outstanding colour, and excellent finish. Been enjoying the beer here in Toronto, but it isn’t quite as good as the beer they pour in Belgium.
I am excited that the lCBO will now be carrying it so I can enjoy it home.

Pours a clear amber with lots of lacing on the way down. Nose is slightly yeasty and slightly sweet, though the environment I tasted it at was probably not the best for it. Flavor is smooth with a slight sweetness and a touch of mature bitterness. Mouth is smooth with bubble. Drinkable, yes. But still not the greatest Belgian brew I have ever had.

Draft. Amber color. Floral aroma. Flavor is some spicy, some malty, quite hoppy. Aftertaste is nice bitter. Good.

Nice amber color pour, smells of sweet grains, not much head. Very smooth on the palate, sweet malts, nice sweet aftertaste, but not too strong.
Very good beer, will buy again.

Pours a brownish amber with a small head. Nose like toasting bread with slight notes of fruit and mild spice. Taste of malts with hints of apple and pear, and perhaps, banana. Tangy finish.
