On draught. Rich copper colour in the glass. Small head for a draught Belgian beer, but good lacing. Sweet, some malt and hopes, but not enough to make it distinctive. Bit of a let down considering all the ’classic Belgian ale’ jive that goes with it, but its ok. *I had a couple of bottles of this last night (29/12/06) and I prefered it to the draught - much more dry and with the hops more evident, but with out the large fluffy head. I had a glass on draught at The Rake (02/02/07) and it was much better than the draught at the Bierodrome. Much dryer and complex - honey flavours, some spice and and well rounded finish. I guess these guys keep their beer better. A Re-re-re rating. I had a half at The Dove on Broadway Market, Hackney and it was the best yet. Such an easy drinking beer, full of flavour. When its well kept, its a winner.

Bottle, pours a fairly clear copper color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. Light aroma slightly sweet maybe a hint of apple or carmel apples. Fizzy, some yeast kind of watery, not a whole lot going on its fine but a bit more volume and character would be appreciated.

Pours a quasi-murky amber with a ton of carbonation and a fizzy light tan head. The nose is sweet, a tad earthy, some metallic rustyness, corn, . The flavor is slightly sweet, cornish, some earthy character, grassy leafy hop character. For as carbonated as it looks in the glass there isn’t much in the mouthfeel. Pretty underwhelming.

Bottle. Amber copper colour with thin magicly disappearing head lie a magicians rabbit. Strange aroma, bit dusty and flowery. A little disappointing for me. Something a bit odd and chemical like in the flavour. Not terrible but up against some stiff opposition in it’s class. Kind of like Pedro Rizzo.

Clear deep amber color with thin disappearing head. Light floral aroma with hints of yeast, fruitcandy and caramel. Thin flavor with a bit fruitiness and a roasted malty touch. Light bodied with slightly watery mouthfeel.
