vipinvelp (333) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 13, 2012
Amber colored with nice off-white creamy foam head, lasting and lacing to glass and lip the way I like it. Nice sweet bitter taste, goes well with french fries and clamps. (Antwerp 201201)

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2012
33cl bottle, best before 10th Feb 2007 or 2009? Anyway drank in March 2007. I don’t own the correct bolleke glass, so it was poured into my Forbidden Fruit chalice. It looked very impressive, a clear mahogany brown’red, no head to talk of, which is a shame, cos I like head. This beer doesn’t seem to have much aroma, be it on tap, or as in this tasting, in the bottle. Hops and not a lot of that either, is all I could find. Malty taste, but not too sweet or powerful, a complexed mix of flavours come together and produce a very good beer. It has a body to it, but not overly strong. A very drinkable beer, pity about the aroma and head, otherwise we would be looking at a higher score and a true classic beer.

Bière ambrée à 5% alc., couleur orangée. Une bonne mousse qui disparaît rapidement. près quelques minutes, la bière est flat. Goût de fruit acre en final. Plutôt décevante, ou je souconne une dégradation sur tablette.
