2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 tokyogoat (1504) - San Diego, USA - OCT 31, 2009
Pours an extremely clear copper with thin off white head.
Nose is red apple peels, candi sugar.
Taste is mostly just a moderately sweeet malt base, kind of sugary, fair amount of floral hops. Slight spice from the hops, but mostly a big floral flavor with slight bitterness.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Metalchopz (1173) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 1, 2012
Originally rated August 2005. Had this one on tap at the Pub Italia on Preston in Ottawa, Ontario. Poured an amber-red colour with a short lived head and some lace. A slight coat of it patched up the top. Hop was found in the nose with roasted malt and floral notes. Kind of pilsner-like at first, in the taste. Mild tasting with a bitter finish. Notes of orange and other fruits. The mouthfeel was dry. A beautiful and refreshing belgian well-balanced swill (if you want to call it that).
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheCametron (470) - SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle. Golden with a white head. Familiar Belgian nose. Marginal hop bitterness. Pretty nice.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MalcolmTucker (147) - SCOTLAND - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle. A murky brown belgian ale that’s a solid but uninteresting example of its style.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 edpeg (254) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 18, 2012
De Koninck Amber , bottle 025l, ABV 5,2%. Dark orange clear amber colour liquid with decent frothy head, does not last long. Aroma malts, caramel. Palate thin watery with malty taste, a peak of fruitiness. Texture is well developed full bodied, yet watery, carbonation is smooth and crispy. Aftertaste short and thin, with slight bitter end. It is quite mild one, but decent beer.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 herrbrown1974 (96) - Toronto, CANADA - JAN 7, 2012
Clear dark orange pour, thin white head. Very low carbonation (on tap at sin and redemption in Toronto). Aroma is fruity strawberry and a light yeast. Smooth medium mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, caramel and yeast with a slight minerality in the finish. Not very exciting but sessionable.

Head: white, small, cramy
Colour: dark amber/copper
Smell: mostly malts, bit bitter, irony
Taste: just like the smell with a skunky undernote , not impressive but better than jupiler or stella !

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jonb5 (91) - USA - DEC 20, 2011
250ml Bottle, poured into Leffe chalice. Ruby/amber colour, clear, one fat finger head. The smell was described as "homebrew Bockbier gone wrong by a tester on biertestonline.de" Strange aroma but it didn’t put me off. Had a yeasty rasberry taste, I thought it was like a thin double. Nice texture, overall decent but is probably best on draught in Antwerpen/Anvers
