Taste this 2 times -first 02.05.’14 from 33 cl. (Geers and Deconinck)
Hazy golden color, with a white head.
Aroma: complex, yeast, hops. Medium body.
Taste: very well for such a low alochol brew, bit yeast, malts, hops,
dry and bitter from refreshing hops. GOOD.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2014 Bottle conditioned 33cl last in stock from the Belgian Beer Shop in Leuven. Hazy gold with a billowy, lasting head. Bottled February 2014, I was worried about the state but the first sniff removed any doubt.
Sharp lemon-pepper and cheese rind and dried flower petals scream Saaz. House strain character in full effect, cobweb and bakery aroma triggers nostalgia. Pithy / rind-like lemon, oily in the mouth, juicy but oh-so dry. Salty baked baguette malt. Lush and full mouthfeel. The gripping dryness makes you salivate endlessly... gulps are necessary and one bottle will absolutely not satisfy. Beautiful pour, intoxicating aroma, bracing dryness in the way of Taras Boulba, punch in the fucking face. There may be no better hop + yeast character out there.

Bottle, bought @De Hopduvel, Gent. Pours murky pale yellow with a large, frothy, white head. Aroma has lovely zesty citrus, oranges, grapefruit, very fresh. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, very grassy hoppy bitter, grapefruit, zesty, some green apple. Lingering bitterness. Nice and elegant.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. very soft earthy pear skin. foggy musty forest. wet hay. bit of white grape fruit. taste brings forth moderate to heavy herbal wet grass bitterness. soft fresh baked bread dough malts. more bitterness than taras boulba, less bitterness than crushable saison. rustic. softer version of crushable saison it would seem. edges rounded out. more of a hoppy belgian ale essence. though still a touch too much grassy bitterness on that dry lingering finish. still petes fine.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of toffee, floral notes and nice herbal notes. Flavour of strong floral bitterness, chewy citrus, pine, grass and mild bready maltiness. Very litle sweetness here. Light bodied and lively carbonation. Dry, bitter, floral finish. Quaffable.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very dense, dandelion yellow. Pineapple, dust, minerals and flowers in the aroma; distant, and calm.
Sly flavor occasionally offers little bursts of hops against the enveloping, rocky dryness of the yeast.
The oats seem to create a surprisingly deep texture here; at such a low abv it seems absurd that the thing is so full. Finishes dry as shit, very quietly.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle from Birra + served in a shaker glass. Light and pale canary yellow, pretty hazy, with a decent, creamy and persistent white head. Very hoppy as soon as the cap was off, but quite volatile. Bready, grassy and malty smell, just a little hint of cardboard in the far background. Nice herbal bitterness, light astringency, very dry and crisp. Little yeast influence, fruity and grassy aftertaste. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. I wanted to like it more, it’s a very good beer, no doubts about that, but I was expecting a bit more. Solid overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chouette!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sunny-yellow, haze, big white head. Floral aromas, belgium yeast, and fresh hops. Hops shine really through, very bitter, green apples, along with grass, malt and yeast - nice complexity. Smooth, dry mouthfeel. Yeast add slickness, malts sweetness, keeping the beer balanced, as the hops are raw and aggressive. Long, dry aftertaste, citrus hoppiness.
