On cask at Moeder Lambic. Pours a hazy honey color with a light tan head that stays aloft. Smell is honey, fruit with some earthiness. The taste is slightly bitter up front then some mild fruit. It’s a bit watery in the middle ending with dry bitterness. Mildly carbonated with light body. I had hih expectations but was a bit disappointed.

@ Moeder lambic

Head: white, foamy
Colour: hazy yellow
Smell: pale, bit of hops, lots of typical belgian yeast
Taste: a little bit better than your average Belgian Blonde, but all in all nothing really special ..

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. I have to admit that I picked this first, blissfully unaware at first that it was brewed especially for them. And that the brewer was some 10 meters from me, heheh. In any case, poured a clear golden-amber body. Perfumey yet slightly sulphury spicy aroma. Nice light balanced spicy/perfumey taste, sweet maltiness, slightly peppery, light sulphur? again, maybe carrot. Even though there are some slightly off notes that I didn’t like, this is really characterful for the ABV, and I’d definitely have it again.

Bevuta al Ma che siete venuti a fa, raramente mi è capitato di gustarmi una birra tanto dissetante ed equilibrata.

Tap at Paradiso dupont. Pours a clear lighter orange. Smaller head, spotty lace. Nose is a tad sticky, fresh oranges and honey. Taste is quite bitter, herbal, grassy, some medicinal herbal remedy and potpourri bitterness: grass, rosemary, pedals, dried fruit peel. Harsher mouthfeel characteristic of Paradiso’s tap lines. Wasn’t very impressed and to think I almost went to max’s Belgian beer fest just for this beer.

Draft. Gold pour, white head, some retention/lace. Aroma of lavender, perfume, grass, fruity ester. Taste is bitter, grassy/citrus hop, pepper, floral notes. Palate is dry, sharp carbonation, slick, bitter finish.

Cask @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels as "Band of Brothers S01E03". Rated on 28.2.2013.
Pours a clear amber golden colour with a chunky, lacy, white head. Aroma of grassy hops, herbs and some grains. Flavour of slightly sweet fruits, caramel and strong fresh grassy bitterness. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, slightly sweet finish. Rather pleasant. On a side note, I added S01E03 as a new beer entry but it got deleted.

Color: nice clear amber beer with small white head and no carbonization. Smell: hops, yeast. Taste: nice complexity of hops and yeast. Aftertaste: wet bitterness

Tap. Thin bubbly white head on an light clear amber orange. Quite fruity, with pear, sourish white grapes, and candy sweetness. Flavor has all of the qualities of the aroma, but with a sharper grassy bitterness midway through the taste almost a bit like lacquer. Lighter flattish body. Probably could be in better shape.

hazy amber, thin white head. Nose is toast and stale hops, light sugar. Flavor is lightly grassy, bit of pine and crust mid with more toast finish. Thin and old, thigh still showing balance. Will taste again when younger.
