3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed from Tap@Moeder Lambic. Cloudy amber beer with good size off white head. To be fair I’d enjoyed far too many others before this to give a decent description. Taste was bready and reminded me a bit of Westamalle triple.

On tap at The Trappist. Pours cloudy amber with a foamy off-white head and a burnt malt aroma. There is a very dry light malt flavor that sticks to the palate. I believe this is the driest beer I have ever hd, but very tasty.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy orange color with a soapy white head. Some sweet tangerine notes on the nose along with a bit of grapefruit zest. Pine and floral hop aromas, bready malt, and a mild sweetness. Tastes of orange, tangerine, and grapefruit hops up front with a light pine bitterness on the finish. A bit on the sweet side for the most part from the bread malt notes.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours clear gold/lt amber with a medium creamy white head...nice lacing. Aroma has light grass and mild fruit...apricot...yeasty spice. Flavor has some tea and grassy hops...apricot takes a backseat to bitter grassy/spicy hops. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a nice grassy/spicy very dry lingering finish.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A gorgeous, bitter and refreshing piece of work best enjoyed in large quantities. From a beer engine with a sparkler at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, drunk by the half-liter. Deep orange color with earthy, spicy, dry-grassy hop nose and zesty yeast notes. Rather bitter and dry, with a very light impression of sweetness from the malt. A firm bitterness but classy hop selection keeps it smooth, avoiding resin, promoting further drinking. A beer for thirsty people.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours hazy orange. Frothy white head. Med minus body. Light Belgian yeast/spice; floral; fruity esters. Touch of citrus. Flavors are relatively subtle, but the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Mildly bitter. Sort of Belgianized ESB. Quite nice.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A Belgian beer I haven’t had, served in the US of A? In proper glassware? Holy cow! What’s going on? Oh wait, I must be at Armsby abbey. Draft. Hazy golden yellow color, huge white head with good retention and solid lacinf. Aroma of raw rising bread dough. Taste is peppery sourdough bread, very yeasty, citrus, bitter straw finish. Absolutely classic.
