Bottle, 33cl, Geers. Pours black with a tanned head. Nose is well balanced between IPA (grapefruit, tropical fruit) & black (roasted coffee). Palate is great, silky, medium to low carbonation. Taste is well balanced between roasted bitterness and hopbitterness. This is only my third black IPA, and my first Belgian BIPA. Itís a great example.

Bottle. A dense, two-finger dark beige head forms over a dark reddish brown body. The aroma has a faint Belgian touch I think, with roasted malts, licorice notes and some prunes. Some dark sugar too. Itís full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, quite dry. Roasted malts, licorice, dried fruits and some yeast in the flavor, along with a nice bitterness. Lasting finish. Not your average Black IPA, but itís nice anyway. 150524
