330ml brown bottle. Slightly unclear dark brown appearance, very heady, lots of sticky foam. Smell - fruity hop and dark grains, caramel. Taste - roast, chocolate. Rich and finally dry at the end. Pretty nice, not that hoppy or bitter, but worth having.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with a large frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark malt and earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a dry slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good complex beer.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Dense, very dark mahogany brown color, three-finger beige head, thick fluffy lace streaks. Aroma of caramel malt and a little citrus. Taste is very smooth lightly roasted toffee malt that becomes a little chocolate-y moving through a carbonated swallow. Light citrus hops enter ahead of a finish that is punctuated by alcohol warmth. A satisfying Black IPA, strong enough to be an IPA, but still smooth and reserved. Excellent.

33 cl bottle. Hazy, dark brown pour with thick light brown head, lots of lacing. Aromas of cocoa, dark brad and grass. Taste is bitter and dry, some sweetness as well. Medium carbonation, lots of alcohol and sweet bread. Finish is rye bread, booze and bitterness. Interesting maybe but not to my taste.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a huge beige head. Aroma - roasted malt, coffee, toffee, earthy and herbal hops notes. Sweetish malt, burnt grains, caramel, licorace, coffee, strong bitterness, alcohol flavors. Medium-bodied, sem-dry mouthfeel. Solid, but a bit harsh.

Bottle at M-café, Leuven. Aroma of slightly roasted malt, some chocolate, some coffee, fruity notes, citrus, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a fairly dry bitter finish. Not very extreme for a Black IPA but smooth and tasty.

330 ml bottled 08/07/15, from my EU Local Swap 3/2015 sender Anatole, many thanks!
Almost black body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, nuts, some coffee, earth, grass, some pine, citrus, orange, berries.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes roasty, bitter, citric, piney, earthy, grassy, with some cocoa and coffee.

Nice one. A typical Black IPA, with a good balance between roasty, sweet and fruity notes. Drinks really smooth for the ABV, which is almost completely hidden. Not my favourite style example or De la Senne beer, but enjoyable nonetheless.
