3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Moeder Lambic. It pours hazy gold with a medium white head. The nose fresh, juicy, tangerine, sherbet, mango and hay. The taste is crisp, earth, hay, spice, sherbet, apricot, peach, tangerine and a good deal of bitterness with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice hopped-up Belgian number.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas (Bruxelles). Clear golden with a huge mostly lasting white head and good lacing. Aroma is of herbal hops along floral notes, cereals and hints of sweetness (honey?). Taste is of honeyed cereals, herbal hops, floral notes and very light bitterness. Light body. Medium/good carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Light, but tasty. Heavily drinkable/quenching! Another nice offering from De la Senne!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
golden color, big airy white head. nose: malts, grains, hops, but also some traces of sugar, and something, albeit well hidden, dusty in the back, bit fry.
Taste: initially hopbitter, but gets a sweet touch (honey?) before going bitter (citrus) again. some malts. Goes in easily, very refreshing. Like this, another great beer from Brasserie de la Senne!

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bière bu à la pression en 33cl, couleur blonde avec une très grosse mousse, odeur de houblon mais on a l’impression un peu de boire de la flotte, décevant.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma : Hops, dry smell with some notes of yeasts. The hops havent a lot of specific taste, maybe herbish? My guess they are more bittering hops.
Appearance : Pale gold and a bit hazy. nice white foamy head of dense bubbles.
Taste : The bitterness of the hops is strong, but enjoyable and well balanced. light sweetness, by the time you get much more the yeast taste, which is really nice. Overal taste a bit too restrained IMO
Palate : Really nice thick mouth of full body, creamy liquid with lively carbonatation. long and bitter finish, but lovely. "Bitter is Better" :)
Overall : Nice bitter beer, fairly close to the other de la Senne production. Maybe even more tasteful, but not enough i think. Really liked the palate after all, and the evolution in taste. Poured from a 2,4€ bottle from Malting Pot, from fridge and in a trappist type glass.

Tap in Moeder Fontainas. Golden in colour with a thick head and a slight haze. A splendid hoppy ale, bitter finish hits late, piney grapefruit, and a slight hint of the Belgian yeast. Superbly balanced, a lesson in making a hoppy ale at sensible abv levels with lots of flavour but balance as well.
