Pours an orange gold color with light head but nice carbonation. The aroma was light, floral, fruity and yeasty. The taste was lightly sweet and finishes moderately bitter. The body was a little heavier than appearances suggested being medium to full bodied. Overall a great Belgian ale with a good amount of hops, very enjoyable.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Beautifully tart and dry ale. Lemon and rosewater, yeah? Must be chief amongst this style. Marvellous brewery.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish gold body with a lively one inch foamy white head that had excellent retention due to the vigorous carbonation. The nose is fairly light, some Belgian yeast fruitiness, pale malt, some light alcohol, and hardly any hops at all. The flavor is fairly bitter, but still pretty focused on the malt, heavy, pale, and doughy, with a perfumy and slightly alcoholic kick. Reminds me of an amped up in the hops department Duvel. Rather heavy bodied with a slight clinginess on the finish. Lingering bitter floral hops and alcohol. Pretty nice beer, but not a big favorite for me.

Bottle, 07/11/2013. Pours golden orange, fluffy white head with great retention, a maze of lacing left behind. Aroma is cereal grains, orange zest, grassy lemon hops, spicy yeast. Taste is lightly fruity, mild orange, spicy herbal hops, cereal malts hiding behind long bitter finish. Well balanced, light body, finishes dry, refreshing in this hot weather. Very nice.
