3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black body with luscious, lathery cream head. Dry chocolate and coffee roasted nose that is quite naturally formed from the grain content. Similarly, the flavor resonates dryly with coffee and chocolate roast. Not any of the typical Belgian Yeast character discnernable. Subtle complexity.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33l bottle. This is a deep dark brown colored one with a nice big brown top. It has quite a roasted nose, really coffee roasted with some dryness and faint tobacco tones. It smells quite nice and itís really flavorful. Like a imperial Schwarz roasted with tons of coffee. Itís well bitter almost a bit acidic/limeish. The mouthfeel on this is light oily and it has a average carbonation level. Moreish, easy sipping. (OHR) 01.06.2013

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chocolatey stout like aroma, also some leather, spice and smoke. Dark brown but not black, lacy head. Big bitter flavor, interesting sour metal aftertaste. Not a stout flavor wise in any case. Thick, fluffy body, a real palate filler. A very burnt take on the Belgian Brune style.

3.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. One of the most intense aromas on a IS with such low alcohol (!); intensely roasted malts, a bit burnt even, coffee, maple syrup & heather honey. Light body, nice sweet beginning but bitterness taking over in the middle and getting more rough towards the end and going over that top in the finish, making it a hard beer to drink. Taste is burnt caramel and green paprica.
