Finalmente una tripel belga, che si discosta dalla classica produzione dello stile. Meravigliosa, anche molto beverina nonostante gli 8 gradi. Gran bere.

33cl bottle from Barvolo. Toronto, ON. 8% alc./vol. Pours a hazy deep gold colour with one finger of lasting white foamy head. Aroma is fruity with notes of apricots and spice. Taste matches the aroma with a dry spicy crisp finish. Lively carbonation. Lacing clinging to the side of the glass.

guzgorog (225) - FRANCE - JUN 14, 2014

330ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a huge white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is mild yeast with some light fruits and grains. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a bold citrus and spicy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some generous carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A well done tripel that is definitely worthy of a tasting experience.

330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Pleasant light belgian tripel aroma, sweetish, pale grains, slightly perfumey. Body full, a little sweet, more a strong blond than an actual tripel, which I want to be crisper and drier. Nice light malts, perfume strong, almost soapy. On subsequent sips, the soap fades, and it’s just perfumey. Also the light almost flap-jacky malts come out more. Nuts from within peach stones too - almost almondy, but sweet too. grows on you, with every sip I like it more. So the alcohol is clearly beguiling! Nice strong pale belgian.

Stine (1490) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 6, 2014
Dense, goldenrod pour has a silvery sheen to it. The aroma is packed with fresh fruits, spices, and flowers, all golden and brown; pear, golden kiwi, dry grass, cardamom.

The freshness of this is confounding, and the interplay of the yeast with the vibrant hops and the doughy malt is a thing to behold. The rounded thickness of the body is impressive, if not as much as how wistfully dry and airy it remains at the same time.

The idea of the incredibly fresh Belgian tripel was a revelation for me, and it’s incredibly bittersweet to know how rare of an experience that will be.

0,33L bottle. Pours hazy golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sour, fruits, citrus and rubber. Taste is sweet and hoppy bitter, fruits, citrus, spices, and yeast. Finish is long dry and grapefruit bitter. Overall: well-made beer, but I’m just not a big fan of the hoppy Belgians.
