Pours a hazy straw-gold into the glass with an initial wispy head that leaves light ring lace. The nose contains lots of grains and some mild esters. Flavors follow suit, with yeasty melon esters followed by a grainy hop bitter close. The mouthfeel is semi-active with a light body and lingering earthiness. Well more suited as a farmhouse/saison than a tripel, it’s not bad, but for the style listed, it just doesn’t pull together as a top-tier Belgian Tripel should, with too much focus on the earthy grains and hop backing. A decent rating, and something I would have again, but just on occasion.

Sun yellow opalescent with a fluffy white head. Aromas of banana, hay, resinous hop spice develop. Light carbonation, lightly slick with a medium body. A bit sweet with a noticeable bitterness building up, alcohol aromatic. Medium lasting finish.
