Clear golden orange pour with a shining white head and lots of lacing. Fruity estery nose. Nicely Balanced with a Smooth light body. Clean. So much milder and less sweet than most trippels. Well done!

Hazy golden, airy and rocky white head. Fruity, malty and hoppy aroma, rather light. Flavour is fruity, spicy and sweet. Strong malt and clear hops. Fluffy mouthfeel, nice.

On tap @ Kick. Unclear golden body with a fine, stable, foamy white head. Aroma has mild pale malt, light citric fruit, lemon and a bit spicy. Flavor feels light malty, refreshing fruity, balanced bitterness, spicy, grassy, floral and orange zest. This is a rather unusually trippel with much more bitterness than normal, but nothing reminds of the modern hoppy bitterness, the beer is fruity, but the bitterness feels more like herbal/grassy and citric zest. Very pleasant and a bit unusual, still not fantastic.

Golden color with medium white head. Sweet, floral, perfumy aroma. Taste is bitter and dry, unusual for a Tripel. Good carbonation, but low for a Tripel. Fine!

January 23, 2015. Bottle at Bier Circus.
Hazy orange with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet malty, dough, honey, orange, floral and light perfume notes. Taste is medium sweet with a medium smooth floral and grassy bitterness in the back. The bitterness in the finish is grassy and floral and a bit sharp. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation.

Hazy orange-ish gold. Head recedes fairly quickly. Fairly floral in scent. Quite bitter and a reasonable about of dryness on the palate.

Very nice golden color with plenty of consistent foam. Faint malts aroma. Nice malty taste, bitter but very balanced, round with hints of clove and licorice. Doesn’t stay much on the palate. Could be treacherous: very easily swallowed, but 8%. Would be great on tap and very cold.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy pale yellow-gold, thick white head. Aromas of fresh dough, light lemon and spice. Taste has more spice and citrus tang. Dry finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden orange with a nice fluffy head. Nose - lemon peel and grass. Perhaps some spice. Taste - candied orange, light white pepper note. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good example of an Abbey Tripel.
