UPDATED: MAR 29, 2012 My Bottom Line :
This Tripel’s pineapple and citrus fruitiness floats within a most pillowy mouthfeel, leading to floral incantations and a spicy bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A fluffy cloud of foam decorates the misty pale golden.
-The mouthfeel is as comfortable as it gets; on the dry side, with puffy effervescence.
-Doughy yeast contributes some simple flavors alongside discreet pils malts.
-Mild banana esters add depth to the citrusy hops.
-Light alcohol heat and overtly citrusy hops, without much malt flavor to back things up, is not really my preference in Tripels.
-The spicy hop bitterness is not nearly as memorable as the label suggests. There is no way to know the freshness of this bottle since there is no date notched on the side of the label...
-This remains a very good Americanized version of a Tripel, but I’d rather drink Taras Boulba for a similar flavor profile and less alcohol.
-Plis malt flavors aren’t too polished (see Allagash Tripel or Westmalle Tripel for those).

Bottles.

Bottle 355 ml. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Some lacing. Sweet aroma of belgian yeast, malt, honey and banana. Sweet taste at beginning with a strong bitter end. Malt, herbal/floral notes, and fruits are present in taste. Lively carbonation. Medium duration of aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium body. Mouthfeel start creamy but end dry. Nice complexity but balance could be better. Not exactly what I expect from a Tripel, but it’s a good beer. Share many characteristics with Saison type of beer.

En oljig kombination av saison, tripel och IPA. En tydlig beska, IPA karaktären tar över lite för mycket men väldigt bra i det stora hela.

Aroma is rather light with wheat and citrus. Flavour has lots of grassy hops, some citrus. Dry finish with hops. Nice and refreshing, lacks the soapy citrus tripels usually have.

Schiuma persistente. Aroma di agrumi, geranio, malto e luppoli erbacei. Al gusto sentori di spezie e pepe, con un grande amaro da luppoli freschi

Bottle at ZBF’12, Leuven: Hazy orange coloured brew with an taste of grapefruit, citrus wich give the beer pretty bitter taste. And this Dutchman survived the degustation barely.
