Bottle at the Hemmelvart Bier Cafe. Deep ruby, almost black with a good tan head. Coffee notes and plenty of burnt toast. OK, but a little thin and lacking in flavour.

Very dark colour with a small head. Was probably served too cold as the first sips I mainly noted hoppy bitterness almost like an IPA. But slowly roasted malt, coffee notes gained the upper hand. Doesn’t have the watery finish some stouts have. How do they manage to get so much taste in a 4,5% beer? Definitely have to taste it again.

Draft at Chez Moeder, rating from memory: Dark w decent head. Bitter w some chocolate and roast notes. Nice that it is not heavy at only 4.5%, but the flip side is that it can seem a bit light/watery. OK for a stout.

very dark brown with beige head.nose: roasted malts, chocolate. taste: coffee, malts. bitter but alas bit of a wattery finish. average stout, but low alcohol percentage is a plus. on the other hand, lacks some punch. overall, another fine beer of this brewery !!

on draft, a very acceptable stout, plenty of creamy head and a lovely understated coffee after taste, very good effort and significantly better than it’s Irish rival, more like a slightly bitter milk stout

Dark pour with very small head. Malty, coffee with a thick finish they doesn't linger for too long. 8/10 definitely would try again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
