Draught @ Albion. Inky black with very small frothy beige head, faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, watery roasted malt taste, thin body, abrupt finish. Not a robust stout at all.

Couleur noire, légère mousse beige. Nez café et chocolat, léger toasté. Gout de café grillé, malt noir avec note légère houblonnée et réglisse. Corps moyen. Fin sur le café moulu, grillé, caramel. Pas mal pour une stout belge

Bottle 33 shared by Calisky. A dark beer with low brown head. Nose is on dark chocolate, dark coffee, coffee beans, toasted caramel. Aroma is on dry roasted coffee, dark malt, roasted barley, light red fruit touch, some astringency, very dry feeling especially at the finish. Long burn caramel and roasted coffee finish, properly done.

Kolor: Czarny.
Piana : Beżowa. Intensywna. Średnio i drobnopęcherzykowata.
Zapach : Aromat ciemnych słodów. Czekolada i mocna kawa.

330ml bottle. Deep dark brown with large sudsy head, small bubbles, very persistent. Lightly hoppy and roasty aroma, some coffee and milk chocolate. The taste has the roasty, meaty flavour, with some of the milk chocolate hinted in the aroma, coffee bitterness, a little charred meat. Light bodied, smooth, light acidity. Pretty darn good and drinkable stout.

Head is beige, dense and lasting, leaving a little lacing as it fades. Body is jet black with medium carbonation. Aroma is fresh and hoppy. Taste is hoppy, bitter and has a bit of coffee. More like a black ipa than a stout, but quite still pretty good.

330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of mildly roasted malts, blackcurrants, chocolate and mild coffee. Light bodied as expected. Dry roasty flavour, notes of coffee, one-dimensional. A hint of berries in the finish, noticeable hops in the aftertaste.

Bought from craftbeer.de. Great bottle art. Pour is frothy and black with a great deep tan head that laces. Taste is rich espresso with treacle and black molasses. This thing is treacly. But it’s offset with a pungent ale style hoppy bitterness. You wouldn’t say this is sweet. Given its 4.5% it’s a fantastic feat. But it’s a little too in your face. It’s rich and indulgent like a good stout , then bam...it’s an Ale. The lasting taste is sour and English bitter...not bad for sure, but then it’s neither a great Irish stout nor a great English ale. I’d rather have a great half of Guinness followed by a great Fullers London Pride. This tastes a bit like both thrown in the glass together. Certainly not bad by any means...but...
