very dark with brown head (but different than the one of Guinness), sweetish yeasty aroma, quite bitter in taste, with also a bitter finish. fine stout

I’ve had this one a number of times and never understood why it’s made. It’s similar to a stout, but not. Dark, but not too dark. Small head, off white to tan. Little lacing. Too much sugary notes and too roasty in the mouth. Not good.

Fresh floral aroma, and of course plenty of roasty, caramel and chocolate aroma. Not as dark as some stouts, but rather dark brown. Clear liquid. Well balanced sweetness and bitterness - loyal to the style. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, semi-long finish. Not much foam, which decreases fast.

Dark with a foamy beige head. Flavours are burnt malts, cocoa, caramel. taste is sweet with dry bitter roasted finish. Body is quite light for the style, a little watery, soft carbonation.

Mørk med medium høyde på skummet. Aroma av røstet malt, mild lakris og mild kaffe. Smaken er noe kaffe og mild lakris. Tynn konsistens. Mild kaffebitterhet i ettersmaken. Litt vannaktig. Ganske god butikkøl.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2015 The lightest Stout I?ve ever enjoyed. Was assured that it wasn’t just another Belgian beer and it?s true. It?s a Belgian influenced real Stout and makes for a nice change.

Bottle @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark brown with a thin head. Has a fusion of both pale and darker malts. Somewhat dry it has a subdued taste, but remains tasty enough.

Pours deep brown with medium brown head. Nose is yeast. Aromas are roasted malt, light coffee and a alcoholic touch. Low carbonation. Light body. Medium dry bitter finish. Very classic English style stout, a bit watery anyway. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Pivoteka, shared with Hrabren & Jones. Almost black body, off white head. Sweet, roasty aroma, chocolate, slightly lactic perhaps. Light, very, very roasty taste, chocolate, carrots, maybe yeast too, a touch, a teeny tiny touch tart. Good but not impressed, they can do better.
