very dark brown with beige head.nose: roasted malts, chocolate. taste: coffee, malts. bitter but alas bit of a wattery finish. average stout, but low alcohol percentage is a plus. on the other hand, lacks some punch. overall, another fine beer of this brewery !!

330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of mildly roasted malts, blackcurrants, chocolate and mild coffee. Light bodied as expected. Dry roasty flavour, notes of coffee, one-dimensional. A hint of berries in the finish, noticeable hops in the aftertaste.

Bought from craftbeer.de. Great bottle art. Pour is frothy and black with a great deep tan head that laces. Taste is rich espresso with treacle and black molasses. This thing is treacly. But it’s offset with a pungent ale style hoppy bitterness. You wouldn’t say this is sweet. Given its 4.5% it’s a fantastic feat. But it’s a little too in your face. It’s rich and indulgent like a good stout , then bam...it’s an Ale. The lasting taste is sour and English bitter...not bad for sure, but then it’s neither a great Irish stout nor a great English ale. I’d rather have a great half of Guinness followed by a great Fullers London Pride. This tastes a bit like both thrown in the glass together. Certainly not bad by any means...but...

Bottle. Poured ruby black color and an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate dark roasted malt aroma. Medium body with with a dry smooth rich texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted dark sweet flavor with a medium dark sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex beer.

(De la Senne Stouterik) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 4.5% Dark brown colour on the body, tall but fizzy beige head with low retention. Aroma of roasted malts and light coffee. More coffee on the taste, roasted malts, coffee grounds, liquorice. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Not bad.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 06/05/16 Deep dark brown/near-black body, creamy tan head persists. Moderate intensity nose - cocoa, toasted nuts, burnt crust, bread dough. Quite lean/short for a stout, nice creamy carbonation & texture redeems the mouthfeel though. Nutty, toasty malts on the body, cocoa, weak milky instant coffee, touch of licorice/molasses, subdued bitterness for style, dry finish. Different sort of stout; nice flavours, could be quite sessionable.

Pretty good beer. Aromas and taste are petty average, heavy coffee/capucino flavours et aromas. Appearance is fine, nice foam for a stout ! And lovely on the palate, nice bitterness and that coffe taste is good. It would probably be better with another malt (oat as instance) and a bit more alcohol.

Belle couleur noir, aucune odeur... En bouche un peu fade pourtant une très grande longueur au palet avec des aromes de café et chocolat...je ne comprend pas cette bière.

Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 11.2 oz bottle. Deep, dark brown pour, sticky, mocha colored head, nice legs of lacing coat the side of the glass. Aroma has some pleasant cocoa accents, a touch of creosote. Flavor has some nice chocolate accents, a touch of espresso, some licorice in the finish. Mouthfeel has a nice chalky dryness to it, Better than expected.
