Pit black with a huge brown creamy head. good roasted malt nose, sweet. Strong malt bitterness, light acidity, nice.

Very dark-almost black. Tan head, medium size bubbles but not lasting at all. The aroma is pretty much what you expect (and I like) from a stout: choccolate and coffee dominating, roasted malts. Intense and quite persistent scent. I have to say the taste is less bewitching than the aroma. The body is too light (for me) and the carbonation too fizzy. In the mouth I feel a little metallic. Anyway the dark malts taste is the main characteristic and there is a nice bitterness coming from hops as well. I like the bitterness coating my mouth and lasting several minutes.

Bottle, Belgian Belly. Pretty baked when I drank this, but even so, little impact was made. Dark, no head. Insipid body and flavour. Nothing else to add.

I’m rating this from very old notes. It took me forever to find this, since I had it down as St. Pieters Stouterik. Dead black with a small fluffy tan head, leaves good lace. Nose and taste of coffee, chocolate, and sweet burnt malts, with a coffee finish.

Bottle. It say stout. Strange. Pours an off dark brown body with a tan head. Aroma is to hoppy to be called a stout with lots of belgian spice that dont belong in a stout. Stupid idea, im slightly annoyed. Its not a bad beer but dont call this a stout thats just inappropriate.
