Brewed in Belgium !!! Pours a very dark brown color with a super foamy headt that dissipates in a few minutes. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke, dark malts and earth. Taste is very similar to the aroma with the addition of some peppery notes. Mouthfeel is very thin and dry !!! Overall this stout drinkable, but not exciting.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, touch of charcoal. Flavour is light sweet and medium roasty bitter. Body is light to medium. Excellent for a low abv Stout, light but very roasty and drinkable, a pleasant surprise.

Kolor bardzo ciemny br?z. Piana be?owa, wysoka i trwa?a, zbudowana z drobnych p?cherzyków ma konsystencj? kremow?. Aromat: palono??, ciemne, sma?one owoce, likier czekoladowy, pralinki odrobina nut drzewnych, wanilii i kawy. jest bardzo przyjemny delikatnie s?odki. W smaku dochodzi lekki posmak dymu i kakao lub pralinek z nadzieniem kakao. Ka?dy ?yk przynosi inn? kombinacj? smaków. Goryczka lekka, "drewniana", troch? jakby od kakao. Wysycenie niskie w kierunku do ?redniego.

Aroma of grain coffee, dark bread, slight roast. Pretty light color for a stout, very nice beige head. Medium herbal-roasty bitterness, a bit of coffee sourness, low sweetness. Leaves a roasty aftertaste. Rather on the dry side. A bit too highly carbonated. Very nice, light beer

From the bottle. Pours dark brown with a creamy, tan head. Aroma is more burnt than anything else. Overall the smell reminded me of an overheated hair dryer and cold, stale coffee. Very subjective as to whether you like that sort of thing in the end. The taste is dominated by the strong roasted notes. Very roasted. Charred malt might be a more apt way of describing it. Aftertaste is bitter black coffee that is a bit on the light side. Finishes lightly bitter. Looking this over now it doesn’t sound all that appealing, but yet I’m enjoying this one. Goes down fairly easy and refreshing for a stout. The taste lacks depth, but remains appealing in its cumbersome, simple sort of way. Interesting.

Apr. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured, I guess, lightly hazy, very typical almost black body with a small brownish head. Fine coffee and chocolate aroma. A bit woody as well. Flavor was lightly bitter, roasted, too with caramel, chocolate, coffee. Medium to full body, creamy on palate. Nice long bitterish roasted finish. Clean, roasted flawless. Great and quite tasty for such a low ABV.

Poor at the nose with hints of coffee and chocolate, very dark brown with a rocky and creamy beige head, light body, medium carbonation, a very simple but convincing taste dominated by coffee and some cocoa...de la senne means quality.

Bottle from Belgian e-shop. Pours dark brown with low tan head. Aroma is intense, strong roasted malts, coffee, nutty, chocolate. Sweet wor-ish aroma. Taste is say sauce, liquorice, very dark caramel. Aftertaste is mainly roasted malts but not very long. Light to medium bodied, light carb. Very intense for the 4.5 abv, very nice brew...
