Excellent stout, mellow but not weak. Hazy dark brown, ever so slight watery start followed by a fuller mouth feel. Smells of milk chocolate ("koetjesreep", if you know it) with a hint of minerals and some hop. I’m often in the mood for a bit more ’bite’ but this is a nice thirst quenching, lighter stout that is very well balanced.

Aroma: chocolate, coffee, leather. Appearance: black, tan foam. Bitter taste with notes of coffee and smoked malts. Soft carbonation, bitter and astringent finish. Overall: stouts are not my favorite beers but this one is quite good actually, you can taste the bitterness and yeast from Brasserie de la Senne which makes It special.

Dark brown pour from draft at proletariat. Weird rye earthy aroma. Citrus and seeds. Inventive but hard to take

Bottle at GBBF, thanks to uncle In. Opaque dark caramel coloured pour with a lasting dense cream coloured head. Aroma is earthy roast, mineral and Belgian yeast. Flavour is light earthy ashy roast, toasty brown, some twigs and berry fruits. Palate is fairly light, highish carbonation and semi crisp. Good.

At Moeder Lambic. Though I rated this already, apparently not. Didn’t write a rating, only the score.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown, close to black body with a big, lacing beige head. Aroma has mostly milk chocolate with some dry fruit. Flavor is quite sweet, moderate roasted malt, moderate bitter and chocolate. Nice balanced body for this low alcohol. Medium aftertaste. Quite quaffable and relatively but not a classic.
