Excellent stout, mellow but not weak. Hazy dark brown, ever so slight watery start followed by a fuller mouth feel. Smells of milk chocolate ("koetjesreep", if you know it) with a hint of minerals and some hop. I’m often in the mood for a bit more ’bite’ but this is a nice thirst quenching, lighter stout that is very well balanced.

Bouteille de 33cl. Couleur noire, mousse modérément, tenue moyenne. Des arômes de café, noix, tourbes. Texture crêmeuse, une stout plutôt réussie. Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploesgtaert.

Poured black with a big tan head that dissolved quickly and became lumpy. I could smell char, molasses and a small amount of general sweetness. The flavor consisted of chocolate, cola and a lingering dark chocolate aftertaste. There was small but abundant carbonation, and the beer was a little thin in my mouth. Considering the beer is only 4.5% though the slightly thin body doesn’t seem that thin. This was a pretty good beer.

Easter tasting @Igor’s place. 0.33 bottle bought at Vrutak, Zagreb. Chocolate brown with a little tan head. Milky aroma, roasted malt. Very bitter, wood, caramel and smoke in the taste. Strong aftertaste, bitter and some dryness in the finish. A very hoppy version of a traditional stout style. Very interesting.
