330 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. GUSHER.

App.: Cloudy deep golden/orange, small white foam with good lacing. Aroma: Starts off with an odd, sort of savoury/meaty/dusty note, somewhat fruity, quite yeasty, a touch of citrus slightly peppery and spicy, bubblegum esters. Palate: Medium-ish body, soft, almost non-existent effervescence. Flav.: A bit dirty and earthy, a bit of that savoury/brothy note, quite peppery, the fruits, citrus and esters have vanished; dry with fair bitterness.

Not for me.

Hazy blonde hue, with a fluffy white head, leaving laces, yeasty, bready dough and light citrus nose, with a hint of vanilla spiciness, and a faint floral hop lemony aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, earthy pale malt, bready dough character, with a nice flowery hop leafiness, citrus accent, with a mild lemon zest note, leading towards a fruity, lemony hop bitterness finish.

Brown bottle, 33 cl, best before May 09, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savoured on October 2 2008; eye: golden, hazy, slight effervescence, voluminous almond head that falls and turn into a sheet, lacing; nose: resinous hops, floral hops, citrusy, fruity, light banana; mouth: malt, resinous hops, fruity sugar, spices, rather dry finale in resinous hops with a tiny presence of caramel, high astringency and bitterness, slightly sweet, medium-full body, texture is creamy and harsh in its finale, rather carbonated; overall: quite likable, quite tasty for a beer with a low percentage of alcohol, and always pleasant to try a beer that bears the same name as that of a movie in which Yul Brynner played FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 33 cl, meilleure avant mai 09, via Importations Privées Bièropholie, savourée le 2 octobre 2008; œil : dorée, voilée, très légère effervescence, mousse amande abondante qui tombe et se transforme en une petite couverture, dentelle; nez : houblon résineux, houblon floral, citrique, fruité, léger banane; bouche : malt, houblon résineux, sucre fruité, épices, finale plutôt sèche en houblon résineux avec une p’tite présence de caramel, plutôt astringente et amère, très légèrement sucrée, corps moyen-corsé, texture crémeuse et rugueuse en finale, plutôt carbonatée; en résumé : bien aimé, très goûteuse pour une bière avec un faible taux d’alcool, et toujours plaisant de goûter une bière portant le nom d’un film dans lequel Yul Brynner a joué

Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks dude. Poured a hazy, bright yellow-orange color with a thick, rocky white heat that stuck around nicely and left some thick spotty lacing. Funky, grassy herbal aroma with a nice earthy yeastiness and some soft orange peel and lemon followed by a nice floral hoppiness. Soft, crisp entry with some light citrus fruit (mainly orange, some tart lemon) leading into a lightly funky yeastiness and a moderate floral hoppiness that is lightly bitter and earthy. Light, soft fruit and some yeast funk on the finish. Crisp and dry on the palate. Nice

Muddy yellow with a big and lively (gushing bottle), but disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity (apricot and orange) and spicy (cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg) with some herbal continental hops in the background. Dry and quite hoppy flavour with the yeast and fruity sweetness in the background. Hop bitter finish. The yeast in the flavour is not entirely pleasant and makes the experience a little muddy. Otherwise, a really good session beer.

Bottle. High and long lasting fluffy white head. Hazy milky dark yellow body. Sweet aroma of lemon apple and pear with ja bit of nuts as well. Relatively carbonated malty and hoppy flaovr with fruits and a long aftertaste. Pretty tasty for such a relatively low alcohol beer.
