Spices and yeast on the nose. Tasted fresh and hoppy reminded me a little bit of Hommelbier for the strident hoppiness, it was nice drinking a Belgian beer that was so refreshing and of such a low abv just for a change. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 25, 2007 Bottle: Poures a light brown yellow with a lacy white head. The aroma is spicy and very hoppy. Taste is fruit with loads of hops, probably one of the best hop style Belgiums I have had. Finish is dry and tingly. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2007 It has a "fluffy" and "poofy" head for sure, over a slightly hazy, dark, yellow body. The aroma is distinctly Belgian - herbal and slightly skunky, with lots of yeast. It is very mild, but its quite tasty nonetheless. Smooth and easy to drink. Herbal. Good. notalush (2699), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 21, 2007 This bottle was very damp around the cork, and the cork fell apart when I drove the corkscrew into it, so it was a bit of a struggle to keep cork particles out of my beer - hazy golden beer, with a frothy head that leaves a sheet of lace on the sides of the glass - nice earthy aroma, with bright floral notes, mild yeasty aromas, subtle citrus sweetness, orange peels, apricots, and light tangy quality - high carbonation in the mouth, but it is rather soft - nice dry bitterness, with some mineral flavors - very strong herbs and wildflowers - a pale malt and light honey sweetness develops to balance the bitterness - the floral aspect of the beer is phenomenal, reminding me of some of the best saisons and biere de gardes I’ve had - a gentle apricot and peach flavor combines with the honey flavor, and then the hops linger into the finish, ending dry and herbal, getting the salivary glands working - insanely drinkable - I could drink this beer all day long - great stuff. Aroma of sweet, floral biscuity Belgian malt and some yeasty notes. Body starts thinner and foamy with a lightly sweet pale maltiness and a more bitter, hoppy drier finish. Pretty drinkable, but could use a little more sweetness. daniele (1756), Italy

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Cloudy gold with a tall soapy white head. Nose of grassy hops, yeast, and dry spice. Flavor is a bit bland, very light and airy on the palate, with a lightly bitter finish. I was hoping for a bit more substance to the flavor, but the yeast esters and malt character were very muted. Now seeing that they were aiming for lower alcohol I get the beer a bit more, nice for that aim.
