3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks dude. Poured a hazy, bright yellow-orange color with a thick, rocky white heat that stuck around nicely and left some thick spotty lacing. Funky, grassy herbal aroma with a nice earthy yeastiness and some soft orange peel and lemon followed by a nice floral hoppiness. Soft, crisp entry with some light citrus fruit (mainly orange, some tart lemon) leading into a lightly funky yeastiness and a moderate floral hoppiness that is lightly bitter and earthy. Light, soft fruit and some yeast funk on the finish. Crisp and dry on the palate. Nice

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Muddy yellow with a big and lively (gushing bottle), but disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity (apricot and orange) and spicy (cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg) with some herbal continental hops in the background. Dry and quite hoppy flavour with the yeast and fruity sweetness in the background. Hop bitter finish. The yeast in the flavour is not entirely pleasant and makes the experience a little muddy. Otherwise, a really good session beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. High and long lasting fluffy white head. Hazy milky dark yellow body. Sweet aroma of lemon apple and pear with ja bit of nuts as well. Relatively carbonated malty and hoppy flaovr with fruits and a long aftertaste. Pretty tasty for such a relatively low alcohol beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Glouglouburp. First off, let me say this: this beer has the best label of any beer on the planet. End of story.
I was pretty excited going into this, as I love hoppy Belgians. This was a slight letdown though. It is not bad by any means – in fact, it is quite solid – but I was I guess hoping for another Houblon Chouffe. This can’t keep up with that, but it’s a solid effort. The pour, like any good example of the style, is beautiful. Peachy in color, completely opaque with a wonderful head. The aroma has a little dough and bread crust, but is covered by a hoppy bitterness that really only shows the bitter end of the hop, not the rich, fruity notes. The flavor is similar, though a bit more complex, and also works a lot better. In fact, the beer is rather lovely in the mouth, and I’ve easily drank the bottle. I hope to find more of this in the future.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a cloudy (lots of lees) beige color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of extra dry hops with lightly spicy yeast. Taste is a well balance mix between some spicy yeast with some really dry hops (not really bitter though) and good Belgian style malt profile. Full body with great carbonation. Well done if maybe a tad too dry but I wouldn’t mind having this more often.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2013 Silly rating from five years ago down below, gave it a 3.6 at the time. Since this this has become one of my favorite beers, boost in score up to 4.1 maybe more notes later, maybe not.
Proving that in fact big beers donít need to have big abv. This packs the flavor in very nicely. The beer smells great, very citrucy, grassy, and of course hoppy. This is a very cloudy blond color with a fluffy white head leaving plenty of lace. The flavor is big and nice with lots of hops, other flavors include apple, sharp dry malt, and there is a bit of yeast and sweetness in the finish. I could easily drink a six pack of this if I could afford to.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl bottle at home: Gusher! Pours lightly hazy deep gold with massive frothy white head. Big pale malt and mixed hop aroma. Some grassy, citrussy, and spicy hop characteristics. Some interesting, but subdued, yeast character... saison? A touch of refined white sugar under a slight bready toast. Toast gets stronger when swirled up. Banana bread comes up as the glass warms up. Slight touch of raisin comes and goes too. Hops and very light SRM malt (assuming pils) dominate nose. Hops alone dominate flavor. Good spicy hops upfront followed by more earthy noble hop notes. This leads to pils malt and a touch of toast ed malt. Some yeast blends with bitter, almost herbal, hop and rides a long dry and bitter finish with a touch of hopped tin. Very nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl Bottle. Really dry, grassy hops over pils malt. Tangy, metallic and with some acid. Grassy and fresh. Pours a brilliant, deep golden, with a tall ragingly frothy head in crisp, creamy white. Effervescent. Flavor is subtle. A dense, rich wheat sugar comes out with some banana, papaya and almonds. Grassy, fresh and super-dry. Hops come as grass and plant oils, fresh and bright, not too bitter. Gives a good rounded edge to the mature, complex pale malt base. Finishes on a bright, juicy hop edge. This is delightfully balanced, real and drinkable. This has an astonishing amount of really well-built flavor for this alcohol level.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Trionfo di luppolo nell’aroma e nel sapore, questa ottima e coraggiosissima ale si distingue proprio per il suo carattere fortemente citrico, floreale e amaro. Bevuta al Duca insieme ad un piatto di ravioli di branzino.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled(330ml). -Cloudy yellow coloured, huge white soapy head, hoppy spicy nose. Extremely lively carbonation. Citrusy hops, buttery and light wheaty taste with herbal (nettles) and spicy notes. Bitter and peppery finish, lots of sediment. A bit unbalanced belgian ale.
