4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to Glouglouburp for giving this to me as a last minute extra.
When i open the bottle (33cl), i see loads of bubbles rising and not long after, it starts foaming out of the bottle. No time like the present to pour...
Appearance: Hazy, golden body with massive foam that doesn’t take to long to form a nice 2 finger head which is fluffed like a cloud as if it were whipped.
Aroma: A sweet aroma that i can’t put my finger on (at first). Bubblegum? Not quite, more like a natural sweetness, sugar cane? Closer but not quite. More of a fresh dough smell, bordering on a fresh donut.
Flavor: I like it right off the bat. First thing i taste is hops. mixed with some dry fruit maybe? Malt rounds it off quite nicely. Extremely well-balanced.
Palate: Carbonation is low. Bitterness felt throughout the palate. Hops are always present but never dominant. Some find of rind-like feel (lemon?). A floral/grassy character is felt which reminds me of a meadow or pasture with are the aromas linked to that.
Very easy to drink with enough taste to match. Seriously, this beer puts to shame all beers that sacrifice taste for ease of consumption. The most flavorful beer with a lower ABV i’ve had to date. A beer i would have again in a heartbeat. Definitely put one on the top of your list.

From XXXII, from summer sale. In Duvel glass. Playing Memoria. Nice color, but the acidic touch it has isnt of my liking. Its also dry and not refreshing. I could finish it, but didnt enjoy it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bitter blond beer with a bit feshness. It’s tasty, but not very special. Due to the bitterness it’s not an easy drinker.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale yellow color with a sustaining foam head. The smell is a mixture of Belgian yeast and hoppy bitterness: a Belgian pale ale. The taste is fresh hoppy bitter, tart, accurately carbonated, dry and has a Belgian note. The aftertaste is dry and tart with hints of green herbs in the hops.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
4.5% ABV. Belgian ale.
This tapped out a light gold yellow, 5°SRM.
The nose was full of hearty wheaty aromas and bright lemon citrus. There were some interesting funky wet yeasty flavors in the nose as well.
The palate had pronounced carbonation with bread-like flavors reminiscent of fresh dough. In fact with the yeasty flavor notes, this tasted very much like a gently proofing ball of bread dough. The flavors were fresh and light on the tongue.
The hops figure more in the finish and there is a medium lengthy finish with some nice bitter hops.
Overall, a quality experience, and a good example of what can happen when skilled brewers get their hands on good quality ingredients.
