4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to Glouglouburp for giving this to me as a last minute extra.
When i open the bottle (33cl), i see loads of bubbles rising and not long after, it starts foaming out of the bottle. No time like the present to pour...
Appearance: Hazy, golden body with massive foam that doesn’t take to long to form a nice 2 finger head which is fluffed like a cloud as if it were whipped.
Aroma: A sweet aroma that i can’t put my finger on (at first). Bubblegum? Not quite, more like a natural sweetness, sugar cane? Closer but not quite. More of a fresh dough smell, bordering on a fresh donut.
Flavor: I like it right off the bat. First thing i taste is hops. mixed with some dry fruit maybe? Malt rounds it off quite nicely. Extremely well-balanced.
Palate: Carbonation is low. Bitterness felt throughout the palate. Hops are always present but never dominant. Some find of rind-like feel (lemon?). A floral/grassy character is felt which reminds me of a meadow or pasture with are the aromas linked to that.
Very easy to drink with enough taste to match. Seriously, this beer puts to shame all beers that sacrifice taste for ease of consumption. The most flavorful beer with a lower ABV i’ve had to date. A beer i would have again in a heartbeat. Definitely put one on the top of your list.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Pour is slightly hazy golden with a big white head and great lacing. Herbal, fruity, noble hoppy, crackery, biscuit, grassy, doughy, and floral aroma. Taste is grassy, minerally, cracker, doughy, straw, light spice, and herbs with a crisp dry finish. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Easy drinking hoppy Belgian with a great noble hop presence.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Visual: Lovely art deco style label. Unfiltered, pours cloudy golden orange with a large lasting foamy head, sticky lacing, lots of activity.
Nose: Sour pineapple-tangerine with some puke. (5/10-pungency)
Attack: citrus fruity, impending hops
Mid-palate: fizzy-bubbly mouthfeel, citrusy (3/10)-sweetness, (MAIN) malt, grapefruit peel, bitter citrus oils
Finish: burpy, razor-sharp off-dry grapefruit bitter hoppiness,
Summary: Although a relatively low ABV beer, this has structure and a lot of bitter hoppy bite. Mix in some citrus and malt flavours, this is a decent a brew for hopheads. Not my fav style, but I can appreciate the brewmaster’s prowess.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strong head, cloudy dirty light yellow colour, sharp tangy lager like taste. Aroma quite stringent. Quite fresh tasting, but quite light, not particularly tasty.
Overall if you like Belgium Golden Ales, I guess this is a pretty good one. Personally prefer less tang and fizz. Too much like a lager for me.

On tap @ Avenue Pub New Orleans. Pours a cloudy peach orange appearance with a thin white head. Tropical fruit, bubblegum, mango, herbal aroma. Soft mouth feel. Lightly sweet. Candy, mango, orange fruity flavor. Pretty dry. Tons of herbal hops. Rustic. Tasted next to Vermontoise and both were excellent. Grate.

Bottle @ home. Hazy pale tallow body with a large white head. Hops, malt, yeast and flowery notes. Lots of dry hops in the flavour, I miss some fruit from the hops. It’s just dry and bitter. Quite disappointing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Hazy yellow, white head, superb lacing. Weirdly awesome nose, resiny, piney hops and Belgian yeast - spict notes. Flavour follows the nose, with added pithy, zesty citrus notes topped off by a grapefruit bitter finish. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Long bitter, yeasty finish. Interesting stuff.
