Bottle from de la senne brewery. Murky/cloudy golden orange pour. A bit of a gusher, huge active white pillowy head. Thick lacing. Aromas of citrus pith, lemon and orange zest, grassy hops. Pretty bitter flavor, light fruity. Ores lie underneath. Tobacco finish. Good heavier mouthfeel. Decent

33cl bottle @ home. Light hazy darker blond coloured beer, medium carbonation and a large white head. Refreshing grassy hoppy and sweeter yeasty hinted. Medium to full palate. FInish is bitter strong hoppy with a longer bitter yeasty noted ending. Misses some balance.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 Blonde dorée trouble, belle mousse mais peu persistante, belle pétillance. Assez amère: zeste d’agrumes, légère astringence sur la fin, dégage une certaine fraîcheur qui fait un peu penser à une saison.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2013 bottle.
beautiful yeasty aroma of fresh fog. rustic farm hay. fresh autumn forest must.
beautiful soft milky yogurt complemented nicely by green grapes. quite unique.
works splendidly.

taste comes across as bitter, leafy grass. resin. wet herbs.
let this one open up/rise in temperature slightly as some minutes in the glass mellowed out an abrasive resin-grass bitterness that was a bit too much at first. again, softened nicely as it warmed.

this is so grate, nice. better than lebron jame. we’re talkin kobe bryan pet supply good.

33cl, bottled Oct 2012. - Almost chalky dry and foamy bitter, with an austere but ultimately crowd-pleasing subtle grass&citrus hop profile and velvet-smooth palate. Some overlap, again, with De Ranke XXBitter.
Always glad to taste new Belgian ales that succeed in being tasty and clear without adding sugar&spice at ABVs below 6. Another incremental victory for De la Senne in widening the sessioning gap between saison and low-ABV Belgian ale for a new audience that has to come to terms that Belgium has no real quality pilsners to fill that gap.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje, thanks Sebastian! The 33cl bottle pours with an effervescent clear deep gold body and supporting a tall off white head of foam. The aroma is kind of minearlly, spicy yeastiness, some citrus to acidic smelling fruit. The taste is nice and hoppy with lemon and lime and tangelo mixing with bitter floral and spicy like Saison yeastiness. This is pretty crisp and tasty.

Bottle, bought @ Beer Planet, Brussels.
Pours very pale yellow with a medium, frothy to bubbly white head. Aroma has pleasant citrus and grass, some melon (galia), light yeast present to add some dusty pineapple notes. Crisp and light doughy malts. High carbonation, dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour is simple, yet elegant. Dry, hoppy, herbal, citrussy. Light chalky note to the finishing bitterness. But overall a very refreshing drink.
