4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Light hazy pale yellow with a medium sized good lasting and lacing head. Powerful hoppy nose; herbal, wood, light spicy. The flavour is crisp and hoppy; lemon, flowers, dried green plants, forest, baguette bread, light sweet tropical fruits. Medium body, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet and bitter. Very soft and flavourful. Some bitterness in the finish with lingering herbal hops.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. It pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is lightly biscuity/bready with hints of apricot, grass and herbals. The flavor is bright and hoppy with more grass, lots of herbals and nice notes of apricot, pineapple and biscuits. Great carbonation and texture. Almost fruit pastry-like with a medium bitter, stronger bready/yeasty finish. Very enjoyable.

330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a firm white head. Aroma of sweet apricot, floral notes and nice herbal notes. Flavour of crisp grassy bitterness, lemon, apricot sweetness, mild graininess and quite complex yeastiness. Medium bodied. Dry floral finish with almost chewy hoppiness. So bright, so good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled June 14. Instagram trade. Cheers Kevin. Pours cloudy yellow with a frothy white foam. Yeast, grass and bready like malts. Some straw and juicy lemon and citrus. Dry and bitter. Incredible balance and drinkability and even the yeast is tasty. If I ever were to choose between 3 breweries this would be one of them.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Cave a Bulles, brewed May 2014 (if I remember correctly, but it’s around here give or take a month), drunk 4/26/15.
Gently hazy peachy-golden ale is topped by a large, dense white head that is well-retained.
Floral hops add plenty of lilac, dill, thyme and rose while just a hint of lemon and orange are added to the mix as it warms. Soft, very dry malts add a touch of honey or even less sweet than that. Quite clean, with a bit of peppery phenols and light yellow fruit esters. No alcohol or flaws.
Incredibly drinkable, with the yeast providing light fruitiness to complement the herbal/floral hoppiness. Perhaps a smidgeon of soapiness noted on account of the extremely high attenuation that these guys are known for. Moderate acidity, chewy, substantial texture and moderately tight carbonation.
Nothing fancy here, just another very well-made, balanced pale ale from a great brewery. Was excited to see if this has become a little funky/more complex with a year on it, but it already seems a bit tired, which makes no sense as this is a 6% unfiltered belgian ale. Was ok to write this off, but I see where Joris mentions his bottle was oxidized after a mere month or two, so that makes me a little more suspect.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ Pangaea Bier Cafe. Bright golden pour with a massive white head. Nose is bright and citrusy. Big lemon zest. Sort of a funky floral note to it. A nice bit of cracker, grass, and tangy apple. Slight sourdough. There’s a really nice bread and cracker character to this. Great dryness, some citric and fruity tang as well. Juicy pear and golden apple. Solid all around.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Light yellow, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint citrus fruitiness with light hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish flavor, light citrus fruitiness, light herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty – lightly wheaty and dryish, light fruitiness and light - some citrus/herbal hoppyness. Nicely hopped Belgian ale. Bit thin body but not too sweet though. Aroma is bit flat - could use fruitiness and bitterness.
