A hoppy golden ale.

330 ml bottle from Birra+ (bottled on 04-06-2014). Golden yellow, slightly hazy, with an average, frothy, moderately persistent bright white head. Grassy/herbal aroma, moderately fruity (peaches) and quite hoppy (esp. floral). Slightly dusty and yeasty as well. Quite watery and light, again herbal, moderately bitter. Relatively drinkable and refreshing. Definitely with a Belgian twist. Rather unpleasent astringency. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Decent.

Taste 3 times @ home, last 20.08.’14. Bottle 33 cl<. Hazy yellowgold color, with a white head. Aroma: hops, yeast, grainy-malts (wheat). Medium body. Taste: bit sweet start, yeast note, citrus, refreshing, hops, very nice bitterness. Dry and bitter finish. Great brew ! Brasserie de la Senne = very good one of the best @ Belgium !

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2014 Bottle-conditioned 33cl at Nüetnigenough in Brussels. Billowy, lasting white head atop a hazed gold body, the ubiquitous De la Senne 5/5 appearance.
Elegant, floral aroma shows hops as juicy lemon oil / rind with faint pulpiness. Airy house strain shows white pepper phenols, dried flower petals, citrus pith, phosphorus... malt is pale, baguette-like, savory, semi-dry... sits close to Taras Boulba, but fuller and rounder and sweeter. Another winner from the best brewer in Belgium. Bright aroma, juicy and filling and long in the mouth without weight, rich in three dimensions with the most approachable yeast strain in the world.

Borresteijn (4686) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 24, 2014
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Misty yellow colour, white head. Aroma of chalk, light sulphur at first, hay, floral lemony notes. Flavour is medium sweet, lemony, chalky, soft sweet floral maltiness, light lavender, firm dry bitterness, some yeast. Light-bodied, soft mouthfeel. I love these kind of beers. Like a saison-kellerbier hybrid.

Bottle from the Bierkoning. Hazy pale yellow pour with rich white head. Aroma is very lemony, strong grassy notes ,quite saison like actually, mild minty notes, belgian yeast, light doughy grains. Taste is bitter, hoppy, very lemony, somewhat husky grainy flavors. Palate is light-med bodied with light carbonation. Tasty.

bartlebier (1724) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - AUG 10, 2014
33cl bottles, Geers. Bottled June 2014. Another entry in the continuing DLS series of sessionable dry Belgian ales, this time approaching the Kellerbier traditions of their Tettnanger ingredients: yeast-chalky nose renders less aromas than usual, containing the hay and grassiness that is allowed to shine full-throttle in its layered bitter taste: pollen, dandelions, grass meet a bodacious yeastiness and just the right amount of soggy biscuit malts. Not as impressive as other recent crossovers, but a nice cross-Rhenian (non transatlantic) crossover nevertheless.
