3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SoLan (1550) - Florida, USA - JAN 25, 2006
Hazy gold. Huge, dense, creamy, frothy, white head. Nose is big musty yeast, malt, grains, crisp cedary hops. Smells like a mild saison. Flavor is lightly sweet malt up front, balanced in the middle, and a dry, clean, bitter hop finish. Musty yeast and grains underlying throughout. Medium/light body. Refreshingly carbonated. Dry aftertaste. More hoppy than your standard belgian. Great session brew, but a little pricey for that. Underrated at 3.1.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thebeertourist (4060) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 7, 2006
UPDATED: APR 3, 2006 75 cl bottle. Hazy golden with a healthy head. Aroma cries out grass and hay with a hint of coriander and is rather sweet with the usual Belgian blonde yeastiness. Flavour is very sweet, but good hoppiness makes for a dry, slightly sour finish. Slightly oily texture, well carbonated. A very pleasant beer. This (re-)rating is for the Crianza version of it, grouped together here.
