PilsnerPeter (3029) - Flushing, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2008
Bottle at Andy’s place: Pours a murky golden with a thin off white head. The aroma has some bread crust-like dry Belgian malt, estery notes and some herbal Belgian hop hints. Tight carbonation with a nice dry flavor. Has a solid dryness throughout with a crackery malt base and lots of flowery/herbal peppery hops in the finish. The Euro-hop dryness is assertive but makes it very drinkable. Pretty nice stuff.

Pale orange pour without much head. Flavor is kind of skunky and old, very minerally and harsh, with a rough, bitter hoppy finish. There is a bit more yeast apparent in the aroma, somewhat bready, exceptionally dry. The miserable finish ruins this beer though. A big disappointment.

Bottle. This one was quite a surprise and very drinkable and tasty! Average creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Cloudy to almost muddy orange color. Aroma of yeast, mild grass and floral notes, also orange peel, dusty flower, fruit, mild peach. Over the palate came a lovely combination of peach, caramel and hoppy dusty floral feel, whit a twist of spice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild dry somewhat creamy texture. Well balanced between the moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Sweet peachy and floral bitter dry finish. Exceptionally well brewed and balanced beer.

300 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Slightly hazy deep golden with a decent off-white head. Aroma: Peppery/pine hops, some lighter citrus, good bread crust and biscuit, lightly fruity and yeasty, slightly dirty and earthy(?). Palate: Medium body with moderate effervescence. Flav.: Peppery and spicy, some pine and herbaceous hops, light fruit, lemon and pale malts; off-dry with surprising hop bitterness for a Belgian, actually decent bitterness regardless of origin.

I like it due to the bitterness.

Hazy gold blonde hue, with a thick white head, leaving laces, yeasty, fruity, nice floral herbal hop nose, with a faint citrusy accent of lemon , and a hint of honeyed pale malt in the aroma follows though on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, bready dough character, with an earthy grainy pale malt accent, with a leafy, flowery hop bitter mouthfeel, with a light fruity zest lime note, leading towards a acidic lime, juicy hop bittering finish.

Christian (11786) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2008
Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Belgian yeast aroma with pineapple, orange, clove and nutmeg. Fruity and soft flavour initially but with a great hop bite following soon after. Slightly spicy, but first of all good herbal continental hops well balanced by the fruity yeast character.

Bottle. High fluffy quickly disappearing white head. Hazy milky orange body. Malty nutty peach aroma with grassy notes. Flavor quite different from the aroma though. A somewhat sharp bitterness is dominating but pepper and can also be spotted. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste. OK, but nothing special.
