On tap at Poechenellekelder, Brussels. Pours a hazy orange-yellow colour with a big frothy off-white and creamy head. Lots of spices on the nose with coriander, pale malt grass and hops. The flavours mirrors the aroma but is more fruity with belgian yeast and some hops lingering in the end. Soft and slick mouthfeel, and a medium bitterness. A great ale that is both fresh and tasteful.

12 ounce bottle (?)
This was hiding in the back of the fridge - probably something I picked up on clearance based on the sale sticker. A fine Belgian ale meets all expectations. There are definitely better ones but it does not hurt to explore.

Aroma / Appearance - The decadent ruby head shimmers and glows like waning sunlight. A dirty sand colored head accents the body well. Spices mixed with melted red hots and a light trace of grape Jolly Ranchers send confusing messages. It is still assertive but all over the map.

Flavor / Palate - Chocolate truffles, spicy cocoa, and caramel taste like dessert in a glass. The sweet mouthfeel holds its punches until you least expect the alcohol to bite. It may not be the flashiest beer on the shelf but it gets the job done.
