A- Pours a hazy orangey yellow hue with a small, off white head. S- Lemon, wheat, pepper. T- Grassy, hints of pepper, wheat, lingering bitterness. M- Medium bodied and silky with high carbonation. D- Decently drinkable. There’s something on the back end of the flavor that’s really throwing me off that I can’t put my finger on.

Sissio (417) - Orsenigo, ITALY - APR 11, 2014
On tap at Birratrovo in Como. Pale golden, hazy with white head. A peculiar belgian ale, with a quite dry hoppy finish, fruity aroma, but overall greatly balanced.

Drinking from a 33cl bottle. A fresh, fruity aroma. Flowers. The unclear pale orange beer has a consistent white head that lasts long. In the taste a surprising hop bitterness. Medium carbonation.

hazy yellow with a white head. Belgian yeast, banana and spice, some belgian hops. Taste is super, super dry, a good mix of toned down spicyness with belgian yeast and a short bitter finish.

Bottle. It pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. The nose is soft, doughy, brioche, barnyard, spice, orange sherbet and hay. The taste is soft, apricot, peach, hay, decent bitterness, peppery spice, sherbet, brioche and toasty hay with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very nice balance and high drinkability.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apricot, apple, white grape, bread, light honey, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apricot, apple, white grape, bread, light honey, clove, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, apricot, white grape, clove, bread, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian pale ale! All around good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
