3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden color with white head. Nice belgian yeast esters in the aroma. Taste goes along with a very balanced malt/hop profile. Body is quite smooth for the style but well carbonated. Nice one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy golden colour with loads of tiny particles, a little amber hue. Nice frothy-creamy white cap, good retention and thick foamy lace. 5.8% written on label. Citrus aromas at first, with some Belgian yeast and some mild spices. Taste of citrus zest with some nice grassy hops to give this ale some good bitterness. The dryness gets a little stronger in the finish. Oranges are also part of the citrus here. Quite a hoppy beer for a Belgian one.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Light hazy golden with a large fluffy off white head with good retention and lace. Fresh nose with flowers, citrus, green plants, herbs, dust. Flavour delivers the same things. Lots of herbals flowers, green plants. Some hay, bread/dough, dust, citrus, wood, white pepper. Little sweetness, pleasant bitterness, fine smooth carbonation. Feels bigger than Taras Boulba, but still easy drinking and refreshing. Happy.

Murky orangey gold body with light head. Hops fight through quite a strong alcohol taste on the palate.

330 ml bottle. Unclear golden body with a big, creamy white head, really good looking. Mild spicy aroma with malt and some fruit. Flavor is medium sweet, mild malt, light spicy, yeast and hint of wheat. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Feels a bit plain.

En klar humlet smag er det første der rammer en. Den er også sødlig så det passer med humlen.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dorada, nebulosa, no demasiada espuma, blanca. El aroma no es muy marcado, herbal y algo de levadura belga. En boca es otra cosa. Cremosa, gas notable, sabor muy rico. Caramelo, vainilla, y contrapunto herbal. Pero más seca que dulce. Final seco y de amargor notable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
On draught at Au bon coin, Nernier. Mid-gold, hazy. Grass and citrus with an unfortunate vegetal note. Taste isn’t an improvement: a bland sweetness cut by astringency. Looking at the other rates I’m going against the grain here, but you can’t like them all.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Dranken Geers, Ghent. Bright golden, hazy beer with a soft white foam head. Nose is pithy orange, lemon and grapefruit citrous, fresh bitter green hops, grass, hay, spice, fresh baked baguette, light slight funky yeast. Taste is same pithy citrousy hops, mild yeast funkiness, white bread, quite a wheaty cereal grain malt. On the finish it’s quite a tangy citrous rind, grapefruit. Another new big hoppy Belgian beer. Find out in the next few days if this is as moreish as XX Bitter.
