Bottle at Chriso’s 2012 Pre-GBBF Shindig, London. Pours hazy, red-brown with a creamy, white foam head. Belgian sugar and yeast in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with toasty sugars, faint dry fruits. Not very dynamic. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Light dry finish with moderate toasty sugars, faint dirt and leaves. So so.

Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is some fruit, some roast, faint hops. Flavour is dry fruity malt, faint hops, some red fruit in the finish. Nice.

Tasted at 3de Gents Bierfestival. Smells bready, definitely tastes old, in a good way, like a little sour. Quite complex, good beer.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s deep brown with a medium white head. The nose is light cherry and grass. Mildly yeasty, some strawberry and fruity pith. The taste is neutral fruit salad, mildly sweet. Caramel body with light yeast accents. Medium body. Decent.

Bottle at Chris O’s pre-GBBF shindig 2012. Muddy brown pour with a white head. Toffee, malt and brown sugar aroma. Caramel, demerara sugar and toffee flavour. Dry fruit finish.

75 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours almost dark red color with medium-sized, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of malts, brown sugar, yeast, some orange, ash and some caramel notes. Flavor of ash, caramel, hay, mild yeast, lightly toasted malts, ripe fruits and some faint spice notes. Some chocolate notes appear with the bottom yeast. Alcohol is well hidden. Surprisingly dry palate, medium carbonation, bitter malty finish.

Aroma has licorice, brown sugar and some dark fruits. Flavour is somewhat tart and dry with citron, some orange peel, dark fruits and slightly salty licorice. Also hints of raisins. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Unusual but good.

Bottle@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, caramelly, a bit yeasty along with some acid wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, raisiny, alcoholic and mildly yeasty.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2012. Poured with a fluffy, lasting one finger beiege to light tan head atop a cloudy chestnut brown body. Spicy sweet aroma with wheat, grain, light fruits. Similar again on the tongue but perhaps a bit empty on the mid to end palate. Medium body, some carbonation spritz & finishing with a short, low intensity malt bitterness.

Bottle at Chriso’s 2012 Pre-GBBF tasting. It pours deep mahogany, with a thin beige head. The nose is caramel, toffee, spice, chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of charcoal. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, toast, spice, rubber, dark fruit (raisin, prune etc) and underlying alcohol warmth. Medium body and average fizzy carbonation. Decent balance and flavour.
